Folk Dance (State-wise) Govt Scheme (1st March to 13th November) Chapter-1 SCHEME PURPOSE Ex-gratia Nagaland Government today launched the Nagaland Ex-gratia Scheme for Students (Nagaland) Studying outside Nagaland belonging to any (Updated 4th November) recognized scheduled tribes and indigenous inhabitants of the state. Aims: Students who die outside the state while pursuing secular, technical, professional, diploma and theology courses. Five crore Rupees will be kept in a fixed deposit and the interest accruing from the deposit will be utilized for payment of ex-gratia amounting to five lakh rupees to the nominee of the deceased students. “Swachh-Nirmal Tat Abhiyan” Environment Ministry began with its cleanliness cum awareness drive in 50 beaches under a (Environment Ministry) campaign called “Swachh-Nirmal Tat Abhiyan”. The drive began from November 11 and will continue till November 17. Beaches in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Daman and Diu, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Karnataka and Kerala have been identified for the campaign after consultation with the state governments “YSR Vahana Mitra” Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will (Andhra Pradesh) launch the “YSR Vahana Mitra” scheme in (Updated 4th October) Eluru on 4th October. Benefit: He will distribute ₹10,000 financial assistance to auto, taxi and maxi driver-cum- owners. Out of this, 1,73,102 were cleared. Of the sanctioned number, there were 1,56,804 auto drivers, 5,093 maxi drivers and 1,205 taxi drivers. ‘DHRUV’ 60 talented students have been selected in (Union HRD Minister) the first batch. After the launch, a programme (Updated 6th October) of around 14 days’ duration would be conducted with these students. ISRO Chairman Dr K Sivan, Wing Cdr Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to enter space and Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, Prof K Vijay Raghavan were the guests of honour. Addressing the gathering the HRD Minister said that the programme is named after the Pole Star DHRUV and every student is a DHRUV TARA. Purpose: ISRO Chairman Dr K Sivan said that the objective of ‘DHRUV’ is to allow talented students realise their full potential and contribute to society. Rythu Bharosa scheme Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said (Andhra Pradesh) his ‘farmer-friendly’ government is (Updated 8th October) committed to providing input assistance of ₹13,500 per year to all eligible ones. Launching the YSR Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan scheme amid fanfare at Kakaturu near Sarvepalli in SPSR Nellore district. About Scheme: ₹7,500 would be provided to each farmer before start of the kharif season, another ₹4,000 at the time of harvesting and just before the start of the rabi season, and the last instalment of ₹2,000 at the time of the farmers’ festival of Sankranti. Food safety mitra’ scheme On the lines of ‘arogya mitras’, the (Central Govt.) government on 16 October launched a (Updated 16th October) scheme for engaging ‘food safety mitras’ to sensitise street food vendors on hygiene aspects and assist businessmen to comply with standards and facilitate licensing and registration. Aims: scaling up the government’s ‘Eat Right India’ movement. ‘Food Safety Mitra’ would undergo training and certification by FSSAI to do their work and get paid by food businesses for their services. YSR Navodayam scheme Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on (Andhra Pradesh) 17th October launched ‘Dr. YSR Navodayam’ (Updated 17th October) scheme. The sum insured now is Rs. 30000 for general diseases and Rs. 3 lakh per year for serious diseases, despite merger with Centre’s AB-PMJAY, which provides coverage of Rs5lakh per year Credit Linked Capital Subsidy and Delayed Credit Linked Capital Subsidy and Delayed Payment ( MSME) Payment of MSMEs’ held at New Delhi, the (Updated 12 September ) Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Shri Nitin Gadkari has launched the updated Credit linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (CLCSS) to enable micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) access to capital. It offers an upfront subsidy of 15 % on institutional credit up to Rs 1 crore for MSMEs sectors in the specified 51 sub- sectors.In the new updated scheme, there is an additional 10 % subsidy for Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes(ST) entrepreneurs while special provisions have been offered for 117 ‘aspirational’ districts, hill states and the northeastern region in India. Benefits: The scheme would be crucial in raising MSME contribution to gross domestic product (GDP).The current stake in the scheme is to be increased from 29 % to 50 %. Also, exports from the region will have to be increased from the current 40 percent to 50 percent. E-assessment Scheme 2019 (Central Board of The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) Direct Taxes (CBDT) notified the e-assessment scheme 2019 for (Updated 15 September ) conducting faceless scrutiny assessment of income tax returns (ITR). The Assam government will provide a one-time subsidy of up to Rs 50,000 to all educational loans. Free Drugs Scheme(Assam) Under this scheme, 142 essential drugs, 47 (Updated 25 September ) surgical items, 45 consumables/linens and 6 numbers of disinfectants would be provided free of cost to the 651 tea garden hospitals of the state. An amount of Rs 20 crore would be spent every year on the scheme. The scheme is for the patients of the tea tribe community. ‘Save Green, Stay Clean’ The Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata (West Bengal) (Updated- 2August) Banerjee launched an awareness campaign‘Save Green, Stay Clean’ for preserving the greenery and keeping the environment clean in Kolkata, which will be celebrated every year. She participated in the Padayatra for this purpose. ‘Odisha Small Savings Incentive Scheme‘ Odisha government unveiled the ‘Odisha (Odisha) (Updated- 8August) Small Savings Incentive Scheme‘ for the calendar year 2019 under the notation “AQ” series.
