Together they form the 10 trustees who are owners of the school. Their vision was not so easily achievable because following the take- over of missionary schools in some states, a ban was placed on the setting up of private secondary schools, but through their resilience, tenacity and focused determination, the visionaries surmounted every bureaucratic and regulatory obstacle to actualize that burning desire to change the face of education in Nigeria. Atlantic Hall thus became the first institute permitted to run a private secondary school in Lagos following the ban of private secondary schools by the Lateef Jakande administration and so paved the way for others to follow. It would also result in a significant reduction in table and chair damage brought about by the constant setting-up and taking-down of tables and movement of chairs. If we are really talking about 21st century schools and learning and positioning ourselves as such, a MPH would be • Large sports hall with ancillary provision considered standard, non-negotiable kit elsewhere and this • Performance center building would project us in that direction in reality.
