K10311: The performance graphs no longer display data after 497 day Linux uptime wraparound Known Issue Original Publication Date: Jul 22, 2009 Update Date: Jul 3, 2018 Known Issue This is the result of a known issue. When the 32 bit Linux uptime counter wraps around to 0 (zero) on a BIG- IP system, the statistics graphs on the Performance page no longer display the accumulated statistics. F5 Product Development tracked the root cause of this issue, the Linux uptime counter wrap, as CR74550, and it was fixed in BIG-IP version 10.1.0 with implementation of the Linux 2.6 kernel. For information about upgrading, refer to the BIG-IP LTM, ASM, GTM, PSM, Link Controller, WebAccelerator, or WAN Optimization release notes. Workaround You should be able to view graphed statistics in the Performance page by performing the following procedure: 1. Reboot the system using the procedure decribed in K7036: The Linux uptime counter wraps after 497 days. 2. When the system has rebooted, log in to the BIG-IP command line. 3. Stop the stats daemon by typing the following command: bigstart stop statsd 4. Create a backup directory for the old files, by typing the following command: mkdir -p /shared/rrd.backup 5. Copy the existing files to the backup directory, by typing the following command: cp -rp /shared/rrd.1.* /shared/rrd.backup/ 6. Remove the files from /shared/rrd.* directories by typing the following command: rm -f /shared/rrd.1.*/* 7.
