WINNING WAYS HURRICANES AT HALFTIME With a 660-446 career record, Jim Larrañaga ranks No. 10 in Miami (14-0) and Virginia (18-0) were the only ACC teams to go undefeated in the regular season when leading victories among active DI coaches and places No. 38 all-time at halftime. The Hurricanes (15-0) and Cavaliers (20-0) were also perfect when adding in games tied at halftime, 660 (min. 10 years at DI school). In addition, the Hurricanes (0-15) were the lone team in the league to go winless in the regular season when trailing at halftime. 2019-20 SCHEDULE HELPING HANDS On Jan. 2, DJ Vasiljevic created a GoFundMe account to raise money for the New South Wales Rural Fire Service to aid its bushfire crisis relief in his home country of Australia. It has generated over $9,500, including $205 from DATE OPPONENT TIME/SCORE (TV) Vasiljevic, who donated $5 for every 3-pointer he hit in ACC play and finished with 41, tied for No. 10 in the league. His six 20-win Dec. 2 at Illinois+ W, 81-79 (ESPN2) seasons at The U are the most of any coach and a third of the program’s total. Coach L has also led Miami to all three of its 25-win campaigns, two of its three Sweet 16 berths and half of its eight NCAA Tournament trips.
