Further to your earlier conversation with Robert Kapla (copied here), I am forwarding to you an email from Norman Anderson who heads the Global Infrastmcture Leadership Forum and who has invited the government of Angola to present three infrastructure projects at the conference. As you will see from the email below, Secretaries Mnuchin and Chao will be keynote speakers at the conference which will include many participants who need to be exposed to and understand the new Angola and the opportunities for trade and investment. Please let me know if you need any further information or documentation. Best, Manana Angela Mariana Freyre Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP 2550 M Street. NW Washington. We have a number of new developments, the most important of which is that Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao will address the Forum during the luncheon on March 26th. More than 40 projects have confirmed. All events will take place at the Pierre Hotel, New York City. Project confirmations this week include: LDOT's Calcasieu River Bridge, 5 projects from the Government of Sao Paulo, 5 projects from the Brazilian Federal Government, and the Tanger Med Port project form Morocco. Stay up-to- date on confirmations by visiting the Global Forum page. As you know, the Forum is a lively, interactive, event focused on the Top 100 global infrastructure projects (over $500 billion in project value), with participants and projects from nearly 30 'high yield’ infrastructure countries around the world. Kicking-off the Forum, Maria Bartiromo will interview Hank Greenberg and David Petraeus, highlighting critical domestic and international infrastructure opportunities and challenges. We will also dig deep into the Gateway project, and host the Top 5 Strategic Global Infrastructure projects, all prior to Sec. Mnuchin’s luncheon keynote address. The Forum brings thought leaders together around the top global project and critical infrastructure themes (in terms of technology, like smart cities; and in terms of investment). We also host a series of 'deal sessions’ lead by the new U.S. Development Finance Corporation. Click here for the updated Agenda. The Forum is an important and rare opportunity for U.S. public and private sector participants to develop a better understanding of the state of play of global infrastructure and to gain not only new insights, but new business and strategic relationships.
