Over these many years it has been our school’s privilege to serve your family while educating the treasures of your heart, your children. Every year during the evening of our Auction, we stop and dedicate a special time to a compelling need for our school. This year we have chosen to remodel two of our elementary classrooms: pre-kindergarten and first grade. These two classrooms are from the original structure and have not been renovated since 1960. We are looking forward to providing a fresh, clean facelift that will enable our young students to have a wonderful learning environment while at LCS. As faithful partners to LCS, please consider contributing to our Compelling Need, since it is essential to have your financial support in order to accomplish all that we covet for LCS. It is our school’s desire to educate your children for His kingdom while preparing them for the 21st Century. Thank you for helping us reach our goals! Expect Excellence ~ Experience Christ Katie Hills Head of School WELCOME TO OUR FOURTEENTH ANNUAL AUCTION Dear LCS Family and Friends: On behalf of the LCS Board, I would like to thank everyone for attending this year’s Auction. These students come from over seventy different churches and thirty school districts. LCS is wholeheartedly committed to academic excellence and effective Christian ministry. LCS is an auxiliary organization of Loudonville Community Church (LCC), created by virtue of a congregational resolution that outlines the organizational structure for the governance and administration of the school. LCS is also separately incorporated and fully recognized as an educational institution by New York State. The School Board is a policy-making body and has fiduciary responsibility for the operation of LCS. It is accountable to the Elder Board of LCC in limited, specified areas. The Head of School administers the school under the supervision of the School Board. From modest beginnings in 1955 as a nursery school, LCS has developed into a school with a reputation for excellence. The school expanded to an elementary school in 1960 and initiated the high school in 1995, with its very first graduating class in 1999. In 2010, LCS celebrated fifty years of academic excellence and effective Christian ministry. OUR MISSION To cultivate a passion for God’s will, a love of learning and joy in serving, fostering creativity, knowledge and character with a global perspective, impacting the world for Christ. “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men.” Colossians 3:23 (NASB) 2016-2017 School Verse: “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. This will allow you to collect your gifts without standing in the cashier’s line at the end of the evening. Guests who wish to pay by check may also elect for “Quick Check” by leaving a signed check made payable to LCS. The amount of the check will be filled in if purchases are made. If you make no purchases, the check will be marked “VOID” and mailed back to you. At the conclusion of the evening those who have signed up for “Quick Check” can proceed directly to gift pick-up. Guests not electing for “Quick Check” must first go to the cashiers to pay for their purchases and then go to gift pick-up.
