WARNING ● Dealer Installation Highly Recommended (Instructions may refer to Service Manual). ● Please read these instructions carefully before beginning to ensure correct installation. Page 1 of 18 T99E9 5EE0AII Rev. 05/21/19 VEHICLE PREPARATION: 1) Put shift lever in "N" position. 2) Apply park brake. 3) Place ignition in "OFF" mode. 4) Disconnect battery terminal a ) Locate negative battery terminal. b ) Loosen nut with 10mm socket. Battery Terminal Nut CAUTION ● Allow 3 min after key off with doors closed for vehicle power to time out. 5) Disconnect battery terminal a ) Lift negative battery terminal off stud. b ) Isolate negative battery terminal. CAUTION ● Allow 3 min after negative terminal dis- connect before separating any electrical connectors. Page 2 of 18 T99E9 5EE0AII Rev. 05/21/19 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: NOTE: If no arm rest is present, proceed to Page 5, Step 10. Fig. 1 1) Slide driver seat forward and remove bungee loop from springs under seat. Bungee Loop Vehicle Front Fig. 2 2) Open Seat Back. a) Open zippers on back of seat. J-Channel b) Unhook long plastic J-Channel behind at bottom of seat back. Fig. 3 c) Hook bungee loop over headrest. Fig. 4 3) Remove arm rest. Unzip Arm Rest a) Unzip arm rest. b) Remove armrest using 12mm socket. c) Pull out arm rest. Page 3 of 18 T99E9 5EE0AII Rev. 05/21/19 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: Fig. 5 4) Remove arm rest bracket fasteners. a) Using 10mm shallow socket, remove forward nut from arm rest bracket assembly. Keep for later use. b) Using 10mm deep well socket, remove 2 rearward nuts from arm rest bracket assembly. Discard nuts. Do Not Discard Remove using NOTE: 10mm socket Keep one nut for seat tube bracket, discard two remaining nuts. Fig. 6 5) Remove arm rest bracket. Arm Rest Bracket Vehicle Front Fig. 7 6) Insert M6 hex bolt to seat tube bracket. Tighten previously removed nut to 8-9 N-m using torque wrench and 10mm shallow socket. Use 10mm wrench to steady bolt while securing nut. Reuse Nut Using 10mm socket & 10mm wrench Fig. 8 7) Insert seat cap cover into seat arm rest hole opening area. Verify cap shape is correctly aligned to corresponding shape in seat arm rest hole. Listen for "CLICK" to verify secure. Page 4 of 18 T99E9 5EE0AII Rev. 05/21/19 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: Fig. 9 8) Reconnect J-Channel and zip seat back closed. Fig. 10 9) Reinstall bungee loop under first coil with harness routed under bungee as shown. Slide driver and passenger seats rearward. Bungee Loop Vehicle Front Fig. 11 10) Pry out side trim panels (RH/LH) using trim removal tool. 11) Remove harness grommet clip from driver side of center Fig. 12 console as shown. Harness Grommet Clip Page 5 of 18 T99E9 5EE0AII Rev. 05/21/19 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: 12) Remove shift lever as follows: Fig. 13 FOR AUTOMATIC VEHICLES: a) Slide knob cover down. b) Remove retaining clip from shifter knob using awl. Fig. 14 c) Lift shifter knob upward to remove. Reinstall clip in shift knob and slide knob cover in place. Set knob aside. Fig. 15 FOR MANUAL VEHICLES: a) Disengage shifter cap using thin flathead screwdriver and pull upwards to remove. b) Using awl, remove shift knob holder as shown. Manual Shifter Panel Fig. 16 Awl Shifter Cap Holder Page 6 of 18 T99E9 5EE0AII Rev. 05/21/19 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: Fig. 17 c) Turn shift knob 1/4 turn and remove leather cover from shift knob groove. 13) Using trim stick, carefully disengage shifter trim panel Fig. 18 from center stack. Automatic Shifter Panel Manual Shifter Panel Fig. 19 14) Remove shift console cover and disconnect connector(s) Automatic Shifter Panel as follows: Harness Connectors Grommet a) FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION VEHICLES: Disconnect two connectors from shifter console as shown in Automatic Transmission illustration. b) Disconnect harness grommet. Page 7 of 18 T99E9 5EE0AII Rev. 05/21/19 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: Fig. 20 b) FOR MANUAL TRANSMISSION VEHICLES: Manual Shifter Panel Discconect one connector as shown in Manual Transmission illustration. Fig. 21 15) Remove M4 Torx screws from center stack of console using T20 torx driver. a) FOR AUTOMATIC VEHICLES: Remove 4 M4 Torx screws from center stack of console using T20 torx Remove from driver. both Manual and Automatic b) FOR MANUAL VEHICLES: Remove 2 M4 Torx Vehicles screws from center stack of console using T20 torx driver. Automatic Vehicles Only Fig. 22 16) Remove 2 push pins (1 RH, 1 LH) in front of console using phillips screwdriver and clip removal tool. 17) Move driver and passenger seats to forward most position. Fig. 23 18) Remove and discard 2 push pins (RH/LH) in rear of center console using phillips screwdriver and clip removal tool. Page 8 of 18 T99E9 5EE0AII Rev. 05/21/19 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: Fig. 24 19) Lift up rear of center console and disconnect USB harness from vehicle main harness. Remove console from vehicle. NOTE: Lift console carefully. USB harness will be attached to main harness. Disconnect USB 20) Flip console upside down. Disconnect USB harness Fig. 25 connector from USB. 21) Remove USB. Fig. 26 a) Squeeze USB tabs on both ends of USB. b) Push USB out through hole. c) Keep USB to reuse. Tabs Fig. 27 22) Drill 3 holes underside of console bin using template. a) Remove adhesive backing from mylar template. b) Attach template to console bin as indicated on template. c) Using template, drill three pilot holes using 3/32" (2.5mm) bit. d) Remove mylar template from console bin. e) Finish holes using to using 11/32" (8.5mm) bit. f) Deburr drill holes. Page 9 of 18 T99E9 5EE0AII Rev. 05/21/19 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: Fig. 28 23) With center console upside down, place foam tape on vehicle harness near large connector. 24) Connect jumper harness to vehicle harness. Fig. 29 Fig. 30 25) Bundle connector and wire as shown. Secure with cable tie. Cable Tie Bundle Fig. 31 26) Trim cable tie. Trim Cable Tie Page 10 of 18 T99E9 5EE0AII Rev. 05/21/19 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: Fig. 32 27) Foam tape harness connection and cable tie with two foam tapes. Tape Fig. 33 28) Route jumper harness through USB opening in console. Fig. 34 29) Remove M8 nut from parking brake stud weld using 13mm socket. Keep M8 nut to reuse. Remove using 13mm socket Fig. 35 30) Loosely install Angle Bracket under parking brake bracket to floor stud as shown. Angle Bracket Parking Brake Bracket Stud Page 11 of 18 T99E9 5EE0AII Rev. 05/21/19 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: Fig. 36 31) Locate D-Bracket studs to Angle Bracket holes and then to floor reinforcement brackets as shown. D- Bracket Floor Reinforcement Fig. 37 32) Hand start previously removed M8 flange nut to floor stud. Tighten M8 nut to 11.0~16.0 Nm using 13mm socket to secure. Fig. 38 33) Place console back in vehicle. Reconnect USB harness to vehicle harness. NOTE: Ensure all connections and clips are secure. Connect USB Harness Fig. 39 34) Set console back in position so studs on horizontal bracket pass through holes. Page 12 of 18 T99E9 5EE0AII Rev. 05/21/19 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: Fig. 40 35) Reinstall M4 torx screws as follows: a) FOR AUTOMATIC VEHICLES: Reinstall four M4 torx screws center console using T20 Torx screwdriver. Tighten to 1.20~1.8N-m. Both Manual and b) FOR MANUAL VEHICLES: Reinstall two M4 torx Automatic screws center console using T20 Torx screwdriver. Vehicles Tighten to 1.20~1.8N-m. Automatic Vehicles Only Fig. 41 36) Secure center console to arm rest base bracket with two M6 x 20 Hex flange bolts and 10mm socket. Tighten to 8- 9N-m. NOTE: Use 10mm socket Ensure brackets and console are aligned. Fig. 42 37) Feed jumper harness through Arm Rest Base lower cover and Arm Rest Base and insert Arm Rest Base into center console. 38) Align holes in Arm Rest Base to bracket studs. NOTE: Ensure 3 studs is aligned to armrest base. Fig. 43 39) Route and tape jumper harness. Tape a) Route jumper harness through USB opening. USB Opening b) Push wire downward and tape wire harness inside bin wall as shown. Do not fully cover hole in bin with tape. NOTE: Ensure no tape or wire sits above flat surface of bin.
