DISPLACEMENT TRACKING MATRIX - Nigeria DTM Nigeria EMERGENCY TRACKING TOOL (ETT) DTM Emergency Tracking Tool (ETT) is deployed to track and provide up-to-date information on sudden displacement and other population movements ETT Report: No. 144 | 4 - 10 November 2019 MOVEMENTS NEW ARRIVAL SCREENING BY NUTRITION PARTNERS Arrivals: Green: 109 Children (6-59 months) Niger Lake Chad 1,264 individuals 97 screened for malnutrition Abadam MUAC category of screened children Mobbar Departures: Kukawa Ngala 362 individuals Green: 90 Yellow: 4 Red: 3 32 Guzamala Gubio Nganzai During the period of 4 – 10 November 2019, a total of 1,626 movements were Monguno 233 recorded, which were composed of 1,264 arrivals and 362 departures. Arrivals were Marte recorded at locations in Maiduguri Metropolitan Council, Askira/Uba, Bama, Biu, Magumeri Mafa Kala/Balge Chibok, Damboa, Gwoza, Hawul, Konduga, Mafa, Mobbar and Ngala Local Jere Dikwa Maiduguri 47 Government Areas (LGAs) of Borno State. Arrivals were also recorded in Demsa, 70 Kaga 5 Bama Fufore, Gombi, Hong, Madagali, Maiha, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South, Numan, Konduga Borno Song, Yola North and Yola South LGAs of Adamawa State. Departures were recorded 4 in Askira/Uba, Gwoza and Kala/Balge LGAs of Borno State. Departures were also 128 Gwoza 116 Damboa 30 recorded in Fufore, Gombi, Hong, Madagali, Maiha, Mubi North, Mubi South, 14 12 17 Numan, Song and Yola North LGAs of Adamawa State. 13 Chibok 33 Biu 14 9 Madagali ETT assessments identified the following movement triggers: poor living conditions Askira/Uba Michika (38%), voluntary relocation (33%), improved security (13%), flood (8%), military Hawul Kwaya Kusar Hong 77 27 Gombi operations (4%), fear of attack (3%) and conflict/attack (1%). The arrivals include 209 from Rann “A” ward of Kala/Balge LGA and 24 from Darak of Cameroon. The arrivals were all due to poor living conditions. Numan: 108 arrivals and 63 departures were recorded in Numan LGA of Adamawa State. The arrivals include 79 from Sabon Pegi ward and were tracked at Imburu ward and 29 from Borrong ward of Demsa LGA. The departures include 47 from Sabon Pegi ward and 16 from Imburu ward. 73% of the new arrivals reported to have relocated due to poor living conditions while 27% were due to flood. The departures were all due to poor living conditions. Askira/Uba: 128 arrivals and 14 departures were recorded in Askira/Uba LGA of Borno State. The arrivals include 119 from Giwi/Wamdeo ward and were tracked in Chull/Rumirgo ward. Other arrivals include 7 from Bauchi LGA of Bauchi State and 2 from Hong LGA of Adamawa State. The 14 departures were from Uba ward. 98% of the new arrivals reported to have relocated due to improved security while 2% were due to poor living conditions. The departures were all voluntarily. Bama: 116 arrivals were recorded in Bama LGA of Borno State. The arrivals include 41 from Mora and 3 from Mokolo of Cameroon. Other arrivals include 12 from Buduwa/Bula Chirabe ward, 30 from Pulka/Bokko ward of Gwoza LGA and 30 from Konduga ward of Konduga LGA. The new arrivals reported to have relocated voluntarily. IOM’s Emergency Tracking Tool (ETT) is deployed in Nigeria’s northeastern states. Only Local Government Areas (LGAs) in which the IDP population changed since the latest DTM round of assessments are represented in this report. The data has been collected by DTM sta deployed at the locations listed and cross-checked with the partners present on the ground. NEW ARRIVAL MALNUTRITION SCREENING SUMMARY (CHILDREN 6-59 MONTHS) An exhaustive nutrition screening using monitoring of MUAC Categories symptoms of acute malnutrition mid upper arm circumference Green (≥12.5cm) Red (<11.5cm) (MUAC) and Oedema was conducted by Nutrition Sector Yellow (11.5 cm - LGA Green (≥12.5cm) Red (<11.5cm) Total partners for 97 children of 6-59 months. Of the 97 children 12.5cm) screened, the MUAC reading recorded 3 children (from accessible area) in the Red category, 4 in the Yellow category Inaccessible Accessible Inaccessible Accessible Inaccessible Accessible and 90 measured in the Green category. All children found with Nourished Moderate Acute Severe Acute Malnutrition acute malnutrition have been admitted for treatment.
