Sports </em><br><em>Information Director </em></p><p></p><ul style="display: flex;"><li style="flex:1"><strong>To the Media </strong></li><li style="flex:1"><strong>Press Room </strong></li></ul><p></p><p>The 2005-06 Old Dominion University Media Guide was prepared specifically to assist the media in its coverage of Old Dominion University women’s basketball. <br>The press room for Lady Monarch basketball is located under section 106 in the Constant Convocation Center. Drinks and food are available in the adjacent media hospitality room prior to tip-off and at halftime. Post-game press conferences will also be held in this room.&nbsp;Admittance is limited to those with media passes. </p><p><strong>Credentials </strong></p><p>Members of the media that wish to cover a Lady Monarch home basketball game must obtain a media pass at least 24 hours in advance&nbsp;<strong>Post-Game Interviews </strong></p><p>by either writing the Sports Information Office, or by calling 757-683- 3372 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Broadcast requests MUST BE MADE IN WRITING at least three weeks in advance of the scheduled game. <br>Locker room interviews are not granted at Old Dominion University Lady Monarch basketball games. Coach Wendy Larry and players selected by the media will grant interviews in the press room ten minutes after the conclusion of the game. For more information on post-game interviews, or to request individual players from either the Lady Monarchs or their opponents, please contact Assistant Sports Information Director Kimberly Zivkovich or Sports Information Director Carol Hudson, Jr. </p><p><strong>Working Area </strong></p><p>All working press will be seated at courtside. Non-working press may sit at press row only if space is available. Spouses, guests and children are not permitted on press row or in the press room, in compliance with the working code of the U.S. Basketball Writers Associa-&nbsp;<strong>Radio Setup </strong></p><p>tion. Visiting radio and television stations are also seated at press row. Photographers must shoot from the end lines of the court. Additional lighting and strobe lights must be cleared in advance of the game. Space along the end lines of the court is on a first-come, first-served basis. <br>All visiting radio stations must contact the Constant Center events manager, Mike Fryling, for telephone requests for game coverage in the Constant Convocation Center. She is no stranger to the dedi as one of the first women to receive a grant-in-aid at Old Dominion, to mentoring and continuing the winning tradition as an assistant coach, to guiding Old Dominion to its most triumphant era as a head coach, Larry's love, embrace, and influence in the game of women's basketball has been colossal. </p><p><strong>F</strong></p><p>cation and drive to be successful and in her 30 plus years associated with Old Dominion her list of accomplishments are nothing short of impressive. <br>Considered one of the elite coaches in the ever growing world </p><p>of women's basketball, she has built championship caliber teams year in and year-out and supplied further prestige and fame to what is the Lady Monarch women's basketball dynasty. The Lady Monarchs have always been teams of ambition and determination and their passion to succeed can be found from the top down. Positioning herself as a true leader in her profession, Larry has led her teams to 16, 20+ wins seasons over her tenure. In 21 years as a head coach, she has compiled an impressive 475-173 record and as the head of the Lady Monarch program has won an impressive 75 percent of her games (426- 142). During her tenure, her teams also assembled what was known as the "The Streak," consisting of 113 consecutive regular and postseason conference victories from 1995-2001. <br>During her 18 years at the helm of the Old Dominion women's basketball program, Larry's teams have reached 17 NCAATournaments, captured a NCAArecord setting 14 ColonialAthleticAssociation (CAA) Titles, collected over 400 victories, and made Lady Monarch basketball one of the most recognized names in women's basketball. <br>For Wendy Larry, the love affair with Old Dominion does not begin merely in 1987 when she was named head coach, but spans three decades filled with history and accomplishment. She has been an instrumental member of the Lady Monarch family at every level.&nbsp;From building a foundation for the program at its infancy as a student-athlete </p>
