I am pleased to bring to your kind notice that, in continuation to the Self Study Report of our college submitted on 12-09-2016, now I am submitting herewith the supplementary Self Study Report which embodied the details of academic performance of our institution after the submission of main SSR to your office. Thanking You, Place: Raibag Yours faithfully, Supplementary SSR for Third Cycle of Accreditation Various programmes and activities are conducted in our institution after the submission of main Self Study Report to NAAC office on 12th Sept, 2016. Those programmes and activities are included in this Supplementary Self Study Report. 1. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) : The third memorandum of understanding is signed between Principal, Arts and Commerce College Raibag and The Director, Sankalpa Study Centre, Dharwad on 31st Jan, 2017 for giving training and for the placement of our college students at various levels and in both corporate and non-corporate sectors. 2. Students Academic Excellence : After the submission of main SSR to NAAC office, our students have achieved academic excellence in semester end examination of academic year 2015-16 of Rani Channamma University Belagavi. They secured Gold Medals and Ranks in the University examination. The table shows Gold Medalist & Rank holders in university examination. Sl. Sports Activities and Achievements : a. On 13th Sept, 2016 Mr. Bal Maruti Hoskote B.A.-I of our college student participated in Volleyball Tournament held at Beynon Smith B.P.Ed College Belagavi and emerged as Rani Channamma University Blue in Volleyball and represented in All India Inter-University Volleyball Competition. b. On 21st & 22nd Sept, 2016 Seven students of our college participated in Women’s Handball Tournament held at KLE’s SVS Bellubbi Arts and Commerce College Savadatti and Miss. Sharmila H. Shinge BA-I of our college emerged as Rani Channamma University Blue in Handball and represented in All India Inter- University Women’s Handball Competition held at Channai. Supplementary SSR for Third Cycle of Accreditation 1 Supplementary SSR for Third Cycle of Accreditation c. On 1st & 2nd Oct, 2016 nine students of our college participated in Men’s Handball Tournament held at KLE’s Commerce College Raibag and Mr. Praveen V. Bagi B.Com-III of our college emerged as Rani Channamma University Blue in Handball and represented in All India Inter-University Men’s Handball Competition held at Channai. d. On 15th Feb, 2017 under the joint auspices of SPM’s Arts and Commerce College Raibag & SPM’s College of Physical Education Raibag have organized Rani Channamma University, Belagavi ‘Single Zone Netball (Men &Women) Tournament and Selections Trials’ are conducted. 24 colleges affiliated to Rani Channamma University Belagavi have participated and 24 students of various colleges emerged University Blues in Netball game. e. On 15th, 16th & 17th Feb, 2017 under the joint auspices of SPM’s Arts and Commerce College, Raibag, SPM’s College Physical Education, Raibag & Karnataka State Amateur Netball Association, Bengaluru have organized state level workshop on Netball & Umpire Examination was conducted. 150 students have participated in the Workshop and Umpire examination. The Resource Person Shri. B. Mohankumar, Treasurer Netball Federation of India and General Secretary Karnataka State Amateur Netball Association Bengaluru, D. Veerupax, State Level Netball Coach and Umpire were Chief Guest for workshop. Shri H. B. Veerupax Chief Examiner and Technical Director, Karnataka State Amateur Netball Association Bengaluru, Miss T. Tilakavati National Level Netball Coach and Umpire were addressed the workshop. 4. Green Audit : In the month of September 2016 green audit of our college campus is conducted. An expert committee headed by Prof. B. B. Bavache, Head Department of Physics, RLS Institute Belagavi, Prof. L. C. Horatti Head Department of Botany, JSS College Gokak & Shri. H. S. Gondyagol, Horticulture assistant, Raibag Sugar Factory Raibag and Prof. (Miss). S. J. Rajapure Head Department of Environment Science, SPM’s Arts and Commerce College Raibag are the members of the committee. The committee went through the details of various trees, plants and other facilities relating to the ecological & environmental aspects and submitted the satisfactory report to the Principal of our college on 10th Nov 2016. Academic & Administrative Audit : In the month of November 2016 an academic and administrative audit of our college is conducted. An expert committee headed by Dr. S. S. Masali, Principal, KLE’s Lingaraj College Belagavi, Dr. S. S. Gavati, Principal, SSN Arts and Commerce College, Hukkeri as member & Dr. M. S. Gubbewad, former Principal, SPM’s Arts and Commerce College Raibag as Member Coordinator of the committee. This committee went through in details, the various components of academic and administrative departments and all other related aspects of our institution and submitted report to the Principal on 20th November 2016. The committee expressed the overall satisfaction of various performance and recommended few suggestions for further improvement in academic activities. (AAA Committee Report is enclosed) 6. Extension Activities : a. 7 Days extension activities under NSS unit of our college, a special camp was organized in adopted village Bavachi of Raibag Taluka from 01/02/2017 to 07/02/2017. The special camp was inaugurated by our Hon’ble Chairman, Barrister Shri. Amarsinh (Anna) V. Patil. During those 7 days our students are actively participated in Shramadhana & Cultural programmes. Everyday morning 08:30 am to 12:00 noon Shramadhana and evening time functions and other cultural activities are conducted, these activities were beneficial to the students and society at large. On 6th February 2017 under the joint auspices of Karnataka Vikas Grameen Bank Mekhali and Department of Commerce have organized an extension lecture on ‘Cashless Transaction’ at Bavachi Village. Shri S. G. Gangadharmath, KVG Bank Regional Office Chikkodi spoke on the need for cashless transaction. 7. Participation in Social Responsibility of the Institution : Under the joint auspices Belagavi Institute of Medical Science and District Hospital Belagavi and NSS, NCC, Scouts & Guides and Youth Red Cross Wing of our college participated in noble activity of ‘Blood Donation Camp’ on 22nd Feb, 2017. Total 61 members of our staff and students donated 61 units of blood to Blood Bank of Belagavi Institute of Medical Science & District Hospital, Belagavi. 8. Faculty Development Programme : a. On 24th October 2016 a training programme for library staff is conducted. Prof. S. T. Karale Librarian, KLE’s Engineering college chikkodi is the resource person. b. On 10th Nov 2016 Faculty development programme on ‘Green Audit’ was organized. Chief Guest Prof. B. B. Bavache, Department of Physics, RLS College Belagavi has addressed and highlighted the importance of ecological balance and environmental sustenance. c. On 16th Jan 2017 Internal Quality Assurance Cell organized faculty development programme on ‘E-Resource and INFLIBNET Services’ to staff and students of both UG & PG. Chief Guest Prof. Chetan Daga Coordinator of PG Department of Commerce has delivered a lecture on E-Resources and Shri. S. R. Kalliguddi has given guidance about INFLIBNET Service. 9. Students Training Programme: a. On 19th Jan 2017 National Institute of Computer Technology Raibag & Department of Studies in Commerce have jointly organized inaugural function of four months ‘Certificate Course in Tally ERP9.0’ training programme for students Dr. S. V. Patil, Principal VSM BCA College Nippani was the Chief Guest highlighted the importance of training for students for job opportunities. On 14th Oct 2016 Department of Political Science has organized inaugural function of 3 months ‘Certificate Course in Personality Development’. Chief Guest of this function was Shri. S. M. Nandigatti, faculty in Sankalpa Institute, Dharwad has highlighted the importance of Personality Development for students in job market.
