All the tenders received will be opened in the presence of tenderers or their authorized agents, if present at 4.00 PM on 9th Jan’2012, which if declared a University holiday later, the tenders will be opened on the next working day as per the scheduled time . Delay in postal delivery shall not be taken into consideration. The tender cover should be super scribed as “TENDER FOR VEHICLE”. Tender for each vehicle should be filed separately but may be sent in a single cover. Each tender must accompany with the amount of Earnest Money (EMD) as mentioned against each vehicle in shape of account payee Bank Draft drawn in favour of VSSUT, Burla and payable at SBI, Burla. No tender will be considered valid without payment of the earnest money. Bank Drafts will be returned to the unsuccessful tenderers only after finalization of the tenders. The tender with highest offer of sale price shall be accepted and such tenderer shall have to deposit 25% of the offered amount of the vehicle on the day of acceptance and balance 75% within 7 days of issue of the intimation letter. On failure to make payment as aforesaid, deposit (including Earnest Money) shall be forfeited. The vehicle should be removed from the site within 7 days from the date of depositing the full amount of tendered/negotiated money. Tools, instruments and spare parts shall not be delivered with the vehicle. In case the vehicle(s) is/are not removed, the custody and safety of the vehicle shall be the responsibility of the tenderer and no claim or complaint on that account shall be entertained and ground rent at the rate of 1% of the tendered/negotiated money will be charged for each day or part of the day till the removal of the vehicle from the site. Where the ground rent so charged exceeds the sales price deposited the tenderer/party shall cease to have any right on the vehicle. The amount deposited by the tenderer/party shall be adjusted towards the ground rent and the vehicle shall become absolute property of the University. Any litigation on this sale shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Sambalpur District. The University authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason thereof.
