About the Role These advertised roles are responsible for leading and preparing the; Head Coach & Program Coaches NSW Gen Blue U15 – 3 Teams NSW Gen Blue U16 – 2 Teams NSW Gen Blue U18 – 2 Team NSW U19 NRC – 2 Teams U15 – Gen Blue Junior Gold Cup Program – (1 Month Program) Coach Development Dates: March 29th – Rugby Australia, Sydney, NSW Training Camp Venue: Waratahs HQ, David Phillips Sports Complex, Banks Ave, Daceyville Training Camp Dates: September 5th,6th,12th,13th,19th,20th Tournament Venue: Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club, O’Sullivan Rd, Bellevue Hill Tournament Dates: 26th September - 4th October U16 – Gen Blue Junior Rugby Championship Program – (1 Month Program) Coach Development Dates: March 29th – Rugby Australia, Sydney, NSW Training Camp Venue: Waratahs HQ, David Phillips Sports Complex, Banks Ave, Daceyville Training Camp Dates: September 5th,6th,12th,13th,19th,20th Tournament Venue: Nudgee College, Brisbane, QLD Tournament Dates: 27th September - 4th October U18 – Gen Blue Academy Match Program – (4 Month Program) Coach Development Dates: March 29th – Rugby Australia, Sydney, NSW Training Camp Venue: Waratahs HQ, David Phillips Sports Complex, Banks Ave, Daceyville Training Camp Dates: 27th - 29th June, Wednesday nights & Sunday mornings 18th August – 23rd September Match Venues: 1st game - Brisbane, QLD TBA & 2nd game – Sydney, NSW TBA Match Dates: 1st game 1st July & 2nd game 26th September U19 – Gen Blue U19 Rugby Championship Program – (1 Month Program) Coach Development Dates: March 29th – Rugby Australia, Sydney, NSW Training Camp Venue: Waratahs HQ, David Phillips Sports Complex, Banks Ave, Daceyville Training Camp Dates: 2 mid-week nights + 1 weekend morning for the month of September Tournament Venues: Sydney Venue TBA (single match) & AIS, Canberra (URC Tournament) Tournament Dates: Sydney 26th September & Canberra 10th - 17th October Key Responsibilities Team Roles • Coach the team to achieve NSW Waratahs performance measures. • Prepare for and manage the team for the Rugby Australia National Championships 2020 • Attend Pre-Competition Selection opportunities and Training camps hosted by NSW Waratahs & its affiliates. • Contribute to the ongoing development and review of the NSW Gen Blue and Waratahs Academy Programs. • Display leadership throughout program and be accountable for actions when representing this organisation • Deliver on player learning outcomes specific to that age group as provided by NSW Waratahs Academy Staff Essential Skills & Experience • Rugby Union coaching at a Premiership, State Representative, NSW Schools Representative, Schools 1st XV or Regional Representative level. (Coaches already appointed to coaching roles within this pathway are able to apply for these coaching positions) • Demonstrated experience of developing athletes in a performance- based Rugby Union environment. • Agree to display and carry out the Character and Values that come with representing NSW Rugby Union as an organisation • Specific technical knowledge of individual and team principles including techniques, coaching trends. • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with a wide range of people including athletes, parents, management, program co-ordinators and administrators. • Ability to contribute effectively as part of a team working towards achieving outcomes. • Ability to travel domestically locally where and when required for both competition and training purposes. • A desire to progress themselves as a coach within the NSW Rugby Union Coaching Pathway Qualifications Required • Current RA/World Rugby Level 3/2 Coaching Accreditation is essential • Current ARU Smart Rugby Compliant Selection Criteria • Extremely reliable, on time and thorough • Availability to commit to the training and competition requirements for the competition you wish to be involved in. • Confident and effective communication and presentation skills, particularly in front of secondary aged children Closing Date C.O.B Friday 13th March 2020 Lead Contact Matthew Evrard For any clarification [email protected] How To Apply Click the below weblink to submit your application https://form.jotform.com/90208932443960 Your application must include: • COVERING LETTER (no more than 1 page • CURRICULUM VITAE • IDENTIFICATION OF TEAMS/POSITIONS YOU ARE APPLYING FOR Your cover letter should address the job description, your relevant experience and why you will be successful in the role.
