FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Kiefer Sutherland, Donald Sutherland and Demi Moore star in FORSAKEN Brian Cox, Michael Wincott, Aaron Poole also in Jon Cassar feature film Calgary, AB (July 31, 2013) - For the first time, Kiefer Sutherland (24) and Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games) will appear onscreen together in the feature film FORSAKEN, co-starring Demi Moore (Ghost), Brian Cox (Troy) and Michael Wincott (The Crow). Directed by multiple Emmy winner Jon Cassar (24) from a script by Brad Mirman (Crime Spree), FORSAKEN tells the tale of John Henry Clayton (Kiefer Sutherland), a former gunslinger, who returns to his hometown after a long absence in hopes of repairing his relationship with his estranged father (Donald Sutherland). When he arrives he learns the sweetheart he left behind (Moore) has moved on and married, and a ruthless businessman (Cox) and his hired gun (Wincott) have recently arrived in town to acquire land one way or another. Principal photography on the indie western feature film began on July 29 in the Calgary area. Filming on the feature will continue for eight weeks of production. The film is produced by Kevin DeWalt (Minds Eye Entertainment; The Tall Man), Josh Miller (Panacea Entertainment; Freezer Burn: The Invasion of Laxdale), Bill Marks (Vortex Words + Pictures Production; Cas & Dylan), Gary Howsam (Rollercoaster Entertainment; Casino Jack) and Isabella Marchese Ragona (Moving Pictures Media; Stranded). Produced with the assistance of the Government of the Saskatchewan Film Employment Tax Credit, the Government of Alberta, Alberta Media Fund, The Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit and the Ontario Media Development Corporation.
