This Bill does go.some way in protecting the public, but I still feel the way forward should be in educating dog owners, not in making the general public terrified of all dogs. In nearly twenty five years of dogging I have known very few naturally vicious dogs, and very many friendly and affectionate animals who want nothing more than a pat on the head - it will be a sad day for "man's best friend" if the terms of this Bill are more widely implemented­ and I feel certain that there will be further ramifications to the detrement of responsible dog owners and canine sports if this Bill becomes law. The problem is working with other dogs around, and Trials are a nightmare.
