Team takes part in EFL Futsal League. NCS Students on Residential at Snowdonia with 1 Course follow up work using facilities at Rochdale AFC to underpin learning 7 students PREMIER LEAGUE PRIMARY STARS promoting 20 Schools football and plus refreshments, also monthly day trips to 25 Senior Citizens various locations through out the year MIND sessions delivered to support people with 26 weeks mental health issues focusing on wellbeing and recovery, and supporting people to lead fulfilling 22 males lives by using football orientated scenarios aged 19 - 45 WALKING FOOTBALL weekly sessions providing 72 Sessions football coaching sessions for people over 55 years old, also including stroke victims on rehabilitation 58 males/females SOCIAL INCLUSION DESCRIPTION 2019 ABILITY COUNTS coaching package aimed at 72 sessions developing activities to engage people with disabilities at Under 16’s and Open Age 45 participants OPEN ARMS - REFUGEE/ASYLUM SEEKERS 16 sessions working with people at Soccer Factory, mainly young LEAGUE GIRLS sessions at Rochdale 38 weeks Leisure Centre targeting young Asians girls aged 14+ in an effort to develop skills and teamwork 12 females DEEPLISH LADIES WELLBEING GROUP increasing social interaction and tackling loneliness plus 36 weekly sessions health related workshops including diet/nutrition 20 senior citizens and fitness activities within the BAME community WARDLEWORTH LADIES CLUB increasing social 30 weekly interaction and tackling loneliness within the sessions BAME community 35 senior citizens STONEYFIELD PARK SATURDAY CLUB creating social inclusion and improving football skills of 25 weekly sessions local members in the Deeplish area via football 25 boys & girls and wellbeing workshops SOCIAL INCLUSION – BAME WEEKLY DESCRIPTION 2019 ROCHDALE COHESION CUP involving young 16th March people and adults from various backgrounds and ages in the Rochdale and surrounding areas 40 players MOSQUE YOUTH 5-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT aimed at youth members of local mosques in 29th/30th June Rochdale Borough covering Deeplish, Milkstone, 44 players Wardleworth and Belfield Wards. “KICK IT OUT” PROMOTION at Rochdale v Accrington Stanley match including winners and 12th October runners up presentation of trophies/medals from Attendance 3508 Mosque 5-a-side Tournament MOSQUE CRICKET TOURNAMENT involving five local mosques from the Rochdale Borough coming 13th July together to take part in a cricket tournament 60 players organised with Rochdale Youth Services ROCHDALE AFC MATCH DAY VISITS involving 5 Schools Greenbank, St Edwards, Spotland, Broadfield & Ashfield Valley Primary Schools 556 boys & girls SPORTS PARTICIPATION DESCRIPTION 2019 HOLIDAY COURSES FOOTBALL/MULTI-SPORT 22 Courses COURSES delivered at venues during every half term holiday throughout the with the Community Trust Sports Staff including 220 boys & girls activities in Desmond’s Den MASCOTS PACKAGE including tour of the Crown 15 matches Oil Arena, meeting players plus enjoying a kick about before leading out the teams prior to kick off 26 boys & girls PROMOTIONS DAYS including Prostrate Cancer, 8 Events/ Veterans/Remembrance, BTEC Scholarship, Fans Zone No Smoking, EFL Day of Action, Level Playing Fields, Rainbow Laces, Grassroots Football 410 boys & girls FANS ZONE through Premier League funding 9 matches an area for families to relax before matches with children’s activities 210+ boys & girls HALF TIME CHALLENGE MATCHES arranged 4 matches at every home match for any group in the local community but predominantly Grassroots Clubs 80 boys & girls OTHER ACTIVITIES DESCRIPTION 2019 LEVEL PLAYING FIELDS DAY involving sessions 1 Event with members of the Under 16’s and Open Age Ability Counts team before match at Rochdale AFC 45 attenders EFL DAY OF ACTION including player visit to Petrus House to promote homeless in Rochdale followed by 1 Day members of Rochdale AFC and Community Sports 75 participants Trust spending night in Family Stand OUR BIG DAY (CHILDREN SERVICES) contribution 1 Day to the Rochdale Celebration of Cared For Children the penalty shoot out for all attenders including 100+ children & children plus parents carers YOU VS TRAIN
