Phase V of the project entails the review and updating of ten archaeological sites that have been scheduled in the operative Waikato District Plan and the Franklin District Plan. The sites are reviewed using the Waikato Regional Council heritage criteria included in the Regional Policy Statement. The other task addressed in this Phase V report is the review of the three ‘Battlefield Viewshafts’ in Appendix C2 of the operative Waikato District Plan. 1 Simmons & Associates Ltd.
