Marcia Matthews (Biology GC1B20, x6930, [email protected]) • HP Advisors office Biology GC1B26 ORU Health Professions Office • Counsel, advise, course selection, HP program selection, application process, preparation for standardized testing, encourage extracurricular medical experiences, mock interviews, write letters of recommendation, etc. ORU Health Professions Office Current process of advising and evaluating HP students is under review by the Chemistry and Biology departments Drs. This service is included in the AMCAS application fee. Minor Change to Interview Process • Still a 3 member interview team and about an hour, but divided into 2 parts: • 1.“Semi-blind” portion of interview is conducted to assess communication, inter- pp,ersonal skills, etc. No academic review. • 2. Student dismissed • 3. Interview team will review academics and then proceed with 2nd academic interview. Chance to answer questions/discuss academic history, MCAT, etc..
