The carillonneur will offer a tour of the carillon tower following the concert. Jeffrey Bossin, born in 1950 in Santa Monica, California, has been put in charge of the Carillon in Berlin- Tiergarten by the German Federal Government´s organization for cultural events in Berlin. He is a free-lance carillonneur and musicologist, founder member of the Russian Association of Campanological Arts, member of the commission taking care of the historical 63-ton heavy chimes of Rostov Veliki, Russia and vice-president of the international carillon organization "Eurocarillon". He studied carillon at the University of Califonia, Riverside and in 1986 he drew up the specifications for Carillon in Berlin-Tiergarten. He plays regular guest recitals in Europe and the US and plays for theater, film, CD, radio, and television productions. He lectures extensively on the carillon and is the author of several publications about the instrument including the book "The Carillons of Berlin and Potsdam".
