Western artists meet with eastern artists on the same stage to share W E talent and portray different dynamics. There’s a lot of activities seen at East meets West Festival for example deejays playing the best music, face paint- S ing, performances from different artists in form of a Coachella. East meets west has worked with a couple of artists namely Burna boy, Wizkid, Lapidoe, Mayorkun, Leru, Lagum, King Perry, John Blaq to mention Festival but a few. Gidi Fest This festival usually takes place once a year in Nigeria, Lagos. This festival that’s usually known as the Coachella Lagos which features live bands, deejays and musical performances to be done throughout that day. Its sponsors for the festival to be successful include brandit old school, vintage studio, brandna tagline, yellow bepink etc Nyege Nyege Festival Nyege Nyege meaning peace, joy and love is a festival that happens in Jinja town located at the pearl of Africa, Uganda. The festival that was founded in 2015 is one of a kind which happens every September. Its takes duration of four days infused with music, dance and excitement. Over 300 artists travel to Uganda during this time to go perform on nyege nyege and sponsor for this beautiful event has been the South African telecom called MTN. Afro-chella Festival This festival is done to embrace thrilling and thriving millennial talent from and within Africa. The afro-chella festival features celebration of Ghanaian culture in form of art and fashion, live painting and African cuisine perfor- mances. The total number of people who attend varies from 4000-10000 people and Audio Mack is one of the sponsors organising this big event. Cape Town International Jazz Festival The festival that’s annually held in Cape Town, South Africa is the largest musical jazz festival in Africa and the globe worldwide. The festival also referred to as “Africa’s Grandest Gathering” was first held in 2000 to 2005. The Cape Town Jazz Festival is hosted at the Cape Town International Convention Centre each year studded with a line-up of local and international artists. This festival is officially sponsored by Raymond Weil Geneve, Coca-Cola, Scottish Leader, Engen and many more Sound Review. David Adedeji Adeleke Davido David Adedeji Adeleke is a Nigerian a musician slowly paving his way to near god status on the African Music scene. Born in Atlanta, USA on November 12th 1992, Davido as he is commonly known grew up in Nigeria before moving to Alabama aged sixteen to pursue a degree in Business Administration at Oakwood University. Davido however dropped out soon afterwards to pursue his love for music, together with his cousins B-Red and Sina Rambo, he released his first single “Back When” featuring Naeto C in 2011. His breakthrough came through the next year with his hit single “Dami Duro”. Since then he has gone on to establish himself as a giant on the African music scene. Since his 2011 breakthrough Davido has released three studio albums namely Omo Baba Olowo, Son of Mercy and A Good Time as well as numerous hit singles. The husky voiced artist has captured the attention of the entire continent with his music, endorsements and controversies. Davido’s most recent Album A Good Time was a wholesome project filled with catchy tunes and impressive / well working collaborations with the likes of Popcaan, Summer Walker and Chris Brown. The seventeen track album is proof that Davido is truly a force to reckon with on the African music scene as it goes to show how well he understands music and the gigantic strides made from his Debut album Omo Baba Olowo. She is the daughter of Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola. CUPPY grew up in Lagos Nigerian but moved to London at the age of 13 for further studies Over the years, DJ Cuppy has delivered astonishing Musical works including Green light featuring Tekno , Abena featuring kwesi Arthur , shaydee and Ceeza milli which were hit songs. On the 21st of August 2020, Dj cuppy released a 12 track album titled ORIGINAL COPY. AFRICAN FOOD AND WHERE IT ORIGINATES Even though Africa is often referred to as if it were a country, Africa is actually a continent. There are dozens of African cultures and from each come different types of traditional foods. There’s no one “African” cuisine, but there are hundreds of yummy local delicacies.
