Its mission is to research, analyze, advise and educate practitioners and the public about current legislation and practices governing domestic and inter-country adoption in the United States, Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa. CAPS is an independent entity. It is not affiliated with any agency or entity involved in the placement of children. The Justice Action Center The Justice Action Center brings together New York Law School faculty and students in an ongoing critical evaluation of public interest lawyering. Through scholar- ship and fieldwork, the Center seeks to evaluate the efficacy of law as an agent of change and social betterment. Through a focused curriculum, symposia, clinical experience, and research opportunities, the Center seeks to instill in students a deeper intellectual understanding of the law regardless of their final career goals, and to present opportunities to maintain their ties to the social justice community beyond law school. Recognizing that students will pursue varied careers, the Center aims to provide a framework for analyzing the pervasive questions and contradictions relating to social justice in American society, irrespective of the context in which they may arise. Continuing Legal Education New York Law School has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of Continuing Legal Education in the State of New York. This CLE program has been approved for newly admitted and experienced attorneys for a maximum of six CLE credits in Professional Practice. Refunds: Written notice of cancellation must be received by New York Law School no later than three days before a CLE program offering for refund of the registration fee. A $25.00 processing fee will be deducted from the refund. No refunds will be issued after the start of the program.
