® ROME, LORETO, SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO AND ASSISI 1st day ROME Arrival at Fiumicino airport and transfer to the hotel. Check in and lunch. During afternoon we have a panoramic view with guide of this imperial city: Campidoglio square, Fori Imperiali and Colosseum (from outside). Accomodation in hotel, dinner and overnight. 2nd day ROME Breakfast. In the morning we visit with guide the Vatican Museums (visit booked in advance) and Sistine Chapel, then St. Peter's Basilica. Lunch. In the afternoon we continue the tour with the visit of baroque Rome: Quirinale Palace, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza di Spagna and Navona square. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight. 3rd day: ROME – CASSINO – SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO Breakfast. Departure for Cassino and guided tour of the abbey founded by St. Benedict of Norcia in 529, which is still the home of Benedictines. Lunch and in the afternoon we go to San Giovanni Rotondo, where San Pio from Pietrelcina lived and his remains are preserved. Accomodation in hotel, dinner and overnight. 4th day: exc. MONTE S.ANGELO Breakfast. In the morning we visit the convent of Holy Mary of Grace and the Wax museum. Lunch. In the afternoon we go on an excursion to the Sanctuary dedicated to St. Michael in Mount St. Angelo. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight. 5th day: SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO – LANCIANO – MANOPPELLO - LORETO Breakfast. Departure for Lanciano where we visit the relics of the most ancient Eucharist Miracle dating back to the 8th century. We continue for Manoppello and we visit the Sanctuary of the Holy Face, where is guarded a famous relics which portrays effigy of Jesus Christ. Lunch. In the afternoon we continue for Loreto. Accomodation in hotel, dinner and overnight. 6th day: LORETO - ASSISI Breakfast. In the morning we make a guided tour of the Renaissance sanctuary of Santa Casa. Lunch. In the afternoon we leave for Assisi. Upon the arrival we visit with guide the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli and the church of Porziuncola with the transit chapel of the Saint and the refuge cave of St. Francesco. Accomodation in hotel, dinner and overnight. 7th day: ASSISI- ROME Breakfast. We visit with guide the basilica of St. Clara, basilica of St. Ruffino and Basilica of St. Francesco. Lunch. In the afternoon we leave for Rome. Accomodation in hotel, dinner and overnight. 8th day: ROME Breakfast. Transfer to Fumicino airport to take the flights back home.
