Lalrinawma was declared elected Deputy Speaker uncontested. Pu Lal Thanhawla, House Leader and Pu Vanlalzawma, Opposition Group Leader led the newly elected Deputy Speaker to his chair. The following Members facilitated the Deputy speaker : 1. Pu Lal Thanhawla, House Leader 2. Pu Vanlalzawma, Opposition Group Leader Pu R. Lalrinawma, Deputy Speaker in his speech thanked the House Leader and all Members on his being elected Deputy Speaker uncontested. LEAVE OF ABSENCE Leave of absence was granted to Pu P.C. Zoram Sangliana. 11:40 AM 2. DISCUSSION ON MOTION OF THANKS Discussion on Motion of Thanks on the Address of the Governor commenced and the following Members participated in the discussion: 1 2 1. Pu Vanlalzawma 11:42 AM : Pu Lal Thanhawla clarified the points and wound up the discussion. The Hon’ble Chief Minister wished the people of Mizoram including Mizos in Burma, Bangladesh and other parts of the world a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 12:32 PM : Pu Chalrosanga Ralte moved that the Motion be adopted by the House. 12:34 PM : The Motion was put to the vote of the House and was adopted unanimously. 12:35 PM : ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE SPEAKER The Hon’ble Speaker announced the desire of the Governor to meet all Members and requested the House Leader and Opposition Group Leader to decide the convenient time. 12:36 PM : The Hon’ble Speaker briefly highlighted the Business transacted during the Session and expressed gratitude to all Members for their cooperation.
