Ahmet ZULIĆ Ahmet Zulić has previously testified about the general political situation in Sanski Most and about the brutal conditions, 1 hour3 beatings and killings in the detention facilities in which he was held. Previously testified before the Tribunal: Krajišnik case: 2 and 3 September 2004 Sulejman Crnčalo has previously testified about events in the municipality of Pale in 1991 and the first half of 1992. “The witness was a Muslim factory worker who lived in Pale from 1978 until the time he was expelled on 2 July 1992. He describes the persecution of Muslims in Pale from 1991 until July 1992, when almost all the remaining Muslims were transferred out of the municipality, and the participation of the Bosnian Serb forces (including, in particular, the police, acting in cooperation with paramilitary units) in this campaign…” (Krajišnik case, 2 Sept. 2004, transcript page 5291) KDZ183 2. Sulejman 92ter CRNČALO From the Prosecution submission in the Karadžić case, 2 November 2009: 0.5 hours “… The Witness is a crime-base witness from Pale municipality, who was expelled from Pale to Sarajevo in July 1992, and lived in Sarajevo with his wife and children until the end of the siege. His wife was killed in the Markale market shelling of 28 August 1995 (Incident G.19). Please note that this order is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. 2 Rule 92ter was adopted in September 2006 to increase the ability of the Trial Chambers to consider written statements and transcripts of witnesses in lieu of oral testimony where that evidence goes to the acts and conducts of an accused and to enhance the efficiency in trial proceedings. Rule 92ter is designed to facilitate the admission of evidence without going through an examination-in-chief. 3 Please note that this is the time the Prosecution estimates it will need for the witness. This time estimate does not include cross-examination by the accused or possible questions by the Judges. Not an official document) PROTECTED WITNESS The witness lived in Kamenica and fled in March 1993, first to Konjević Polje and then to Srebrenica. On 11 July 1995, the KDZ064 witness joined the column of men assembled in Šušnjari in order to go in the direction of Tuzla. The witness was taken into Partial 92ter 3. custody on 13 July 1995 and was first detained in Bratunac and then in a school near Zvornik. The witness survived a mass 1 hour execution after which he escaped through the woods and fled to Muslim-held territory.
