I Fantasia in F Minor, Op. 49 Frederic Chopin I (1810-1849) I Born in Germany, Claude Frank moved to the United Sonata in C Major, K. 330 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart States in 1941 and enrolled at Columbia University Allegro moderato (1756-1791) I to study composition and conducting. He also studied Andante cantabile privately for nearly 10 years with Karl Ulrich Allegretto Schnabel and Arthur Schnabel, making his debut with Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic in 1959. Sonata in A-flat Major, Op. 110 Ludwig van Beethoven Moderato cantabile molto espressivo (1770-1827) I I At Tanglewood, he studied with Serge Koussevitzky. Allegro molto Adagio ma non troppo A renowned teacher, Mr. Frank is on the faculty of the Curtis Institute in Fuga: Allegro ma non troppo I Philadelphia and is a professor at Yale University School of Music, New Haven, I Connecticut. Mr. Frank has appeared with the leading orchestras of the world, including the New ~Intermission~ I I York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Boston Symphony, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra as well as with the world's most eminent quartets. He is known for his Beethoven interpretations. His 1990 re-release I I of a CD recording of the 32 Beethoven piano sonatas was chosen by the American Record Guide as "the one that reaches an exceptionally high level." Sonata in B-flat Major, D. 960 Franz Schubert Molto moderato (1797-1828) Claude Frank has performed in concert with his wife, pianist Lilian Kallir, and with Andante sostenuto I I his daughter, violinist Pamela Frank. His recordings have appeared on the RCA Scherzo: Allegro vivace con delicatezza Victor, Music & Arts, and Music Masters labels. He resides in New York.
