We thank our experienced stewards, without whose dedicated help our show could not be run and we would appreciate offers from other experienced people to join our team of stewards. If you would like to steward (now an I.K.C. requirement for aspiring judges) please contact the secretary Catering will be available from 8.00 am Applications for Trade Stands are welcome 1 PROOF 2 SHOW REGULATIONS 1. The Show will be held under licence and Rules of the Irish Kennel Club Ltd. as in force on the 3rd August 2014. 2. ALL DOGS MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE IRISH KENNEL CLUB LTD [I.KC. Rule 7 Section 1 applies] 3. VENUE: The Show will be held at The I.K.C. National Show Centre, Cloghran, Dublin on Sunday, 3rd August 2014, between the hours of 9.00am and 6pm. Judging: Breed will commence at 9.30 am; Junior Handling at 9.30 am. Obedience and Agility: 9.30 am 4. ENTRY FEE: Breed Classes €21.00 for 1st dog; Additional Dogs €8.00 each; Not for Competition €5.00 each; Green Star Obedience €10.00 per dog; All other Obedience dogs €5.00 per dog per class; Agility €10.00 per dog per class; Junior Handling Free if entered in breed otherwise €5.00; Baby Puppy €8.00; Brace/Champion/Puppy/Veteran Stakes €8.00. I.K.C. Levy €1 per exhibitor Car Park: €5.00 on the day. Prepaid with entries €4.00 Catalogues: €5.00 on the day. Prepaid with entries €4.00 Fees of exhibits arriving late or failing to arrive will be forfeited. No entries will be accepted without the appropriate entry fees, which cannot be refunded under any circumstances. Postal entries will be received up to Monday, 23rd June 2014, by the Secretary, Mr S. Rooney, 64 Hampton Cove, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, Ireland Enter online at www.fossedata.ie Online entry closes at midnight on the Monday, 30th June 2014 The promoting body shall have the right to refuse any entry. Exhibitors will be expected to pay the appropriate Bank fee for any cheque returned "R.D." by the Bank. 5. ROSETTES: Will be given for Green Star; Best of Breed; Groups; all Stakes; Obedience; Agility; Junior Handling and Best in Show winners. Special prizes offered for competition by or through a Special Club shall be collected and distributed by that Club. 6. EACH EXHIBITOR shall be responsible for keeping their exhibit under control at all times. NO DOGS SHALL BE LEFT SHUT IN CARS and if in trailers or boxes must be kept under constant supervision. Fouling - A fine of €50.00 shall be imposed on any exhibitor who fails to clean-up after the fouling of dogs in the precincts of a Show licensed by the Irish Kennel Club Limited. EXHIBITORS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO WEAR A BADGE OR OTHER DECORATION IN THE BREED JUDGING RING save the Ring Number of the exhibit which must be displayed clearly by the exhibitor. No person will be allowed in any judging ring save the Judge, Show Official and Exhibitors taking in a dog for adjudication. 7. JUDGING: BREED JUDGING WILL COMMENCE AT 9.30 am. In the event of the appointed Judge failing to keep his or her appointment the Promoting Body shall have the right to appoint another Judge or Judges in his or her place and the Promoting Body further reserves the right to change the Judge in any breed when it is found necessary. The Promoting Body shall not be responsible for the exhibition of any dog in the Ring. 3 8. CATALOGUES: The Promoting Body shall not be responsible for any loss, direct or indirect, occasioned by any mistake or omission in the Catalogue. In any such case the exhibitor should immediately inform the ring Steward if the judging is in progress, otherwise the exhibitor should immediately report the Catalogue inaccuracy at the Secretary's Office. 9. WINNERS: Any Special Award(s) presented by this Society at the Show must be returned IMMEDIATELY should the winning exhibit(s) later be disqualified by the Irish Kennel Club for any reason. 10. NOTICE: All announcements appearing in Our Dogs Ireland or the D.L.C.S. Monkstown website prior to the closing of entries or in reference to any alterations made by the Promoting Body in the schedule or in these Regulations shall be deemed sufficient notice thereof. 11. INTERPRETATION: The Promoting Body shall be the Show Committee within the meaning of the I.K.C. Rules and all disputes, if any, shall be dealt with by the Committee. Parties to any dispute shall have the right to appeal to the Irish Kennel Club Ltd. 12. ACCIDENT OR DAMAGE: The Promoting Body will not be responsible for any loss or damage sustained by exhibits, exhibitors, or other persons attending the show through accident or otherwise. 13. DOGS ON SHOW GROUNDS: Only dogs for competition are allowed at the ring side. NO PENS AT RINGSIDE. PLEASE KEEP WALKWAYS CLEAR. VIDEOS It is a Kennel Club regulation that permission must be sought from the Show promoting body for the use of video of other recording equipment. Permission must also be obtained from the judge in the ring on the day. PLEASE NOTE F.C.I. RULE Once the catalogue is printed, it is forbidden to transfer a dog from one class to the other unless the problem is due to a printing error. The Promoting Body will not accept any responsibility, nor be under any obligation to see that dogs eligible to compete are exhibited in their particular Groups, or for Best in Show, other than announcing in the ring that judging is about to take place. The Promoting Body will not accept any responsibility in the case of an exhibit that is excluded from competing in a Group, owing to the judging of its breed not having been completed, or for any other reason. 2. Competition in Group Classes will be confined to undefeated winners in their breed. 3. No dog shall be entitled to compete in a Group where any prize or award has been withheld from it in its breed at the show. 4. A fee will not be payable for entry in any of the Groups nor for Best in Show. 5. Groups will be divided into ten sections - as defined in the Irish Kennel Club Rules & Regulations. 6. Upon entering the Group Ring Competitors must produce their correct ring number. 7. In each Group and Best in Show the judges shall make the following awards: viz., 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. to 4th place, absentees MUST be marked. 8. Competition for Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show is confined to the winners of the ten groups. 9. If your Group Judging has not commenced before 4.30 pm a Best of Breed winner may leave the show but must notify the Show Secretary in writing that the exhibit will not be present for the Group Judging. Otherwise all exhibits qualified for the Group must be exhibited therein. An exhibit failing to report for the Group will incur a fine of €50 and be disqualified from all wins on the day, unless a valid reason is lodged with the Show Secretary before judging commences. Notice for Schedule The Stakes Classes scheduled at this Show are separate from the Breed Judging and do not come under the rules of the Green Star System, e.g. An exhibit which has been beaten in a Stakes Class but wins Best of Breed may proceed to compete in its relevant Group. All exhibits who wish to enter Stakes Classes must be entered in their relevant Breed Classes with the exception of Champions/Veterans who may enter the Stakes Class only.
