Baker University Fraternity & Sorority Life End of Year Report Fall 2017 The Baker University fraternity and sorority community are comprised of four sororities and four fraternities representing 374 students. Information in this report was self-reported by chapter presidents. All chapter reviewed with their members the Fraternal Information and Programming Group (FIPG) Risk Management guidelines and the Baker University Alcohol, Amnesty, and Off-Campus Misconduct policies. They had every member sign a confirmation sheet of understanding of the policies. Both IFC and CPC want to require all chapters to complete the same process at the beginning of every semester. Spring 2018, Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils will be working on Greek Week and an All-Fraternity and Sorority Life STAG gathering. They will also be working with the Student Activities Council to recommend attendance to speakers Daryl Davis on February 6th and Terms and Conditions on March 6th. Council members are excited to help the community grow through education development, public relations, community engagement, and judicial affairs policies. Community Service 2,833 hours performed during semester 7.57 hours of service performed per member Philanthropy $13,201.73 donated to local and national philanthropies $35.29 donated per member Co-curricular Involvement 97% of Fraternity/Sorority members are involved in other co-curricular or community organizations. Dean’s List 172 Members or 49% of the Fraternity/Sorority Community earned a 3.50 GPA or above.
