Leckhampton Rovers Football Club Introductions Enzo Scognamiglio, Club Chairman and Welfare Officer David Pitts, Club Secretary, Treasurer and Welfare Officer Mark Beaney, Team Coach and Future Development Projects Andy Pitchford, Team Coach and Future Development Projects Club History Formed in 1996 by a few Dad’s, of which Dave Pitts was one, to provide facilities for 20 boys and girls who wanted to kick a ball around. Twenty-two years later, we now have: - Teams A Veterans Team A Men’s Team – 35 players 28 Youth teams – Ages ranging from U8 to U18 A Girls Academy – SSE Wildcats An Academy – Ages 4 to 8 – 98 children, boys and girls 503 Registered Youth Players How we have grown!! Best club in Gloucestershire Fastest growing club in the area Best facilities in the area Brilliant coaching structure Most inclusive club in the area Facilities Own ground with a high standard of pitches Club house Cheltenham Borough Council Grass Football Pitches UoG The Park Campus – Academy Muga pitches - (UoG and Leckhampton Primary School) Use of a 3G Elite football pitch with floodlights Use of sports facilities at local schools Burrows Playing Field Proposed site for new Leckhampton school Primary School Leckhampton Community LRFC has over 500 children involved now and their parents / guardians. Most live in and around Leckhampton Leckhampton Primary School expanding – would love to use the facilities Possible new school – we are already lined up as a community partner New opportunities, girls/ ladies, disabled, walking, futsal – available to all Fantastic sports facilities at the heart of Leckhampton Burrows Playing Field and Pavilion Our proposal – Lease of 21 years for pavilion, licence of 21 years for the playing area Own ground for adult / youth football Improve the existing playing area for all ages Refurbish the pavilion Run football CPD from the pavilion Remainder of the community benefit from improvements Funding the project S106 money to share - £710k Club has reserves which it has saved up Football Foundation support Other funding possible Fundraising through the club – we have not even asked parents yet Local businesses who will sponsor the club Teams – Future Aspirations Men’s teams competing in the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League and Cheltenham Football Association League Veterans Team competing in the Gloucestershire FA Vets League More youth teams at all ages competing in the Cheltenham Youth League Girls Teams competing in the Gloucestershire FA Girls League Walking Football for the over 50 age group Disability Football Futsal Coaching A new Head of Coaching We have 37 FA Level 1 in Coaching Football qualified coaches A high standard of coaching Mentoring scheme for new coaches We have 7 FA Level 2 qualified coaches In-house training sessions We have 1 coach with his Level 3 UEFA B Licence We have 41+ Parent helpers who have had Criminal Records Checks completed Referees Encourage our players to take up Refereeing Run refereeing courses from the Burrows Encourage RESPECT for all Referees 10+ Players are also Referees New Club Structure A Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) Same legal status as a person Separate legal personality, so can enter in contracts in its own name Trustees have limited or no liability CIO’s are not companies so do not need to register with Companies House Much simpler reporting and accounting requirements Charitable tax advantages eg Gift Aid donations, VAT refunds This also helps to reassure potential funders and donors New Club Structure Leckhampton Rovers FC - CIO Trustees Administration Football Finance Management Facilities Committee Welfare (Sub Committee) Veterans Men's Development Marketing Youth – U11 to U18 and Coaching Sponsorship & Mini Soccer U9,U10 (Sub Communication Development U7,U8 Committee) (Sub Committee) Academy Age 4 to 6 Girls – All Ages Management Board Chairman Club Secretary Treasurer Welfare Officer Head of Coaching Manager’s/Coaches Representative Player’s Representative Adults & Youth Fundraising Organiser Facilities Coordinator Parent Liaison Officer What we need to succeed The Club requires.
