Born 1798; educated at St. Paul's School, and at Trinity College, Cambridge, {Craven University Scholar, 1820, B.A., 6th Wrangler, and Senior Chancellor's Medallist, 1821; M.A., 1824; D. D., 1836) ; was Fel­ low of Trinity; Member's Prizeman 1822-23; Tyrwhitt's Hebrew Scholar 1822 ; Vice-Principal of St. David's College, Lampeter, 1827-43, and Regius Professor of Divinity at Cambridge, 1843-9. Consecrated 92nd Bishop of Llandaff in 1849; is Patron of the Deanery. Chancellorship, and Precentorship of his Cathedral. also the Archdeaconries ofMonmouth and Llandaff, and all the Prebends, as well as of 65 livings, and 5 alternately with the Crown. D-) ; Vicar of St. David's, Carmarthen, 1831; of Abergwili, 1837; of Llandovcry, 1846; and consecrated 70th Bishop of St-Asaph, May, 1870; is Patron of 100 livings, besides 7 alternately, with the Crown. 1\Iarricd, Margaret, relict cf Captain W. J ones, Esq., of Gwnfryn, Born in 1822 ; educated at Shrewsbury School and Trinity College, Oxford; graduat~:d in honours in 1844, and afterwards became Fellow and Tutor of U nivcrsity College. Was appointed Prebendary of St. David's, after which, became Vicar of .Bishopstborpe, Arch­ deacon of York, and Canon residentiary of the Cathedral. Was consecrated ll9tb Bishop of St. David's in 1874; is Patron of the Deanery and Canonries, 4 Archdeaconries, together with 132livings. Married, in 1856, Frances Charlotte, daughter of the late Rev.
