J ones, Esq., of Gwnfryn, Born in 1822 ; educated at Shrewsbury School and Trinity College, Oxford; graduat~:d in honours in 1844, and afterwards became Fellow and Tutor of U nivcrsity College. Was appointed Prebendary of St. David's, after which, became Vicar of .Bishopstborpe, Arch­ deacon of York, and Canon residentiary of the Cathedral. Was consecrated ll9tb Bishop of St. David's in 1874; is Patron of the Deanery and Canonries, 4 Archdeaconries, together with 132livings. Married, in 1856, Frances Charlotte, daughter of the late Rev.
