2018 MEDIA GUIDE JASON SEAMAN | AN AMERICAN HERO On May 25, 2018, former Southern Illinois University football player Jason Seaman protected his students during a school shooting in Noblesville, Indiana. A science teacher at Noblesville West Middle School, Seaman was shot three times while intervening to stop the shooter. He will return as the grand marshal of the 2018 Homecoming Parade on Saturday, Oct. 20 when the Salukis host Indiana State.
