J 19-23 US National Championships Sheffi eld’s leadership of the sprints group also led North Texas back to the NCAA Championships in 1999 APRIL 9, 2013 REGIONAL TOP 15 RANKINGS with the men’s 4x100 meter relay team aft er an 11 year absence. Th ree more sprinters appeard at the NCAA MEN’S WOMEN’S Outdoor Championships under Sheffi eld as Detrion Woodson went in the 100 meter dash in 2001, Ananka Clark in the same event two years later and lastly Kory Williams in the 400-meter hurdles in 2005. He brings enhanced credentials through his work at the Michael Johnson Training Center where he focused on improving the ability of his athletes to integrate linear speed concepts through biomechanics, motor control and performance analysis. A native of Dallas, Sheffi eld was one of the top-fi ve hurdlers in the state while attending Skyline High School and attended UTA on scholarship as a high hurdler. Aft er earning his B.S. from UTA in 1993, Sheffi eld earned his Master of Science from North Texas in exercise physiology in 1996. Kayla Savoie 24.46 Destroying Order 2013 SUN BELT Just a week after senior Aaron Sirles broke the school hammer throw record, CONFERENCE PERFORMERS senior John Garrish crushed it by more than 20 feet. Garrish threw 58.34 meters OF THE WEEK (191-05 feet) on his way to capturing a second place fi nish in the event. Sirles 1/23/13 - Clint Collins threw a personal-best 52.72 meters (172-11 feet) fi nishing third while senior Cody Men’s Indoor Track January threw 51.75 meters (169-09 feet) to fi nish fourth. The new order for the 2/13/13 - Chelsea Hermes record book is Garrish at fi rst, followed by Sirles at second and January at fourth. Women’s Indoor Field Women Take Charge 2/13/13 - Clint Collins The Mean Green women captured three fi rst place fi nishes in Waco this past week- Men’s Indoor Track end.
