Your identification number can be found on the enclosed entry list. Your start time from The Corinium Stadium can be found on the enclosed start times list, (Car 1 at 9.31). Travelling Marshals will start at 9.00 plus your TM number in minutes, (TM 1 at 9.01). REMEMBER: Please remember to arrive at the Corinium Stadium with your car fuelled to your satisfaction, where your fuel filler cap will be checked and sealed. The closest garage is Burford Road Services shown on the enclosed map. FINAL INSTRUCTIONS CIRENCESTER CAR CLUB CORINIUM RUN FINAL INSTRUCTIONS VEHICLES TOP UP WITH FUEL This can be done at the Burford Road Services, Cirencester, GL7 5DS. (MR163/036.5 029.5) or at any other filling station, but it is in your best interest to arrive at the start with your fuel tank as full as possible. The route is approximately 120 Miles long, so remember extra fuel cans can be sealed at the start if you are not able to complete this distance on a full tank. At the start venue a start marshal will seal the filler cap/lid and any extra fuel cans by applying a non-damaging seal. Please note there are no 4-Star or Lead Replacement fuels ; Unleaded, Super Unleaded and Diesel are sold. Please contact the organisers if this presents a problem. We would like to remind you that there should be no smoking, that mobile telephones are turned OFF and that any children present are kept under control. SIGNING-ON This will take place at The Corinium Stadium, Cirencester, GL7 6JS from 08.00 to 10.45. Please aim to arrive at least 45 Mins before your start time. A map is enclosed showing the location of the MEASURED MILE (to allow participants, if they wish, to calibrate any tripmeters in line with the one used to compile the roadbook). On arrival at The Corinium Stadium please park as per the enclosed plan and as directed by our marshals. Breakfast rolls and a hot drink will be available to all participants. START Crews will start in number order, at one minute intervals. Car 1 will start at 9.31. Add your car number to this time to get your Start Time. FINISH The first car is due to Finish at 16.34. Add your car number to this time to get your Finish Time. FOLLOW THE ROUTE The route is defined by the 'tulip' diagrams in the Road Book issued at signing-on. The times at which the controls will be open have been established as follows: Opening: 25mph average from the time of the start of the section. Closing: 20mph average from the time of the last car starting the section. FINAL INSTRUCTIONS CIRENCESTER CAR CLUB CORINIUM RUN SECRET CHECKS These are at points along the route not specified to participants; they are to ensure compliance with the route instructions in the Road Book. Proof of passage will be recorded by a marshal’s signature on your route card (time card). Participants must stop at the control for this. Such checks will be preceded by a 'CONTROL' board placed at the side of the road. LUNCH Ample time (75 Mins) is allowed in the schedule for lunch/picnic to be taken at AV8, Kemble Airfield. Whatever your choice, please keep a careful eye on the time schedule to avoid being late further on in the event. THE 'COMPETITIVE' FINISH OF THE EVENT This will be at The Burford Road Services where cars will be topped up with fuel under supervision. Participants should then make their way to The Corinium Stadium. You are required to get receipts for the fuel you have bought and have them stapled to your route cards. TOILETS These are available along the route at the following locations: Cotswold Gateway Centre, Cirencester. AV8, Kemble Airfield The Cotswold Lion Café, Northleach. CATERING ARRANGEMENTS Included in your entry are the follow: Start – Breakfast rolls Teas & Coffees. Finish – A hot buffet style 2 course meal. You will be able to choose from: Chicken Curry with rice, chips, naan bread and poppadom’s Sweet & Sour Chicken with rice & chips Chilli Con Carne with rice and chips & Vegetarian option At all other stops, you are responsible for your own requirements FINAL INSTRUCTIONS CIRENCESTER CAR CLUB CORINIUM RUN AWARDS A Certificate with a photograph, will be presented to participants at the Corinium Stadium. We aim to have these ready for distribution within 30 minutes of your return. Certificates will be posted to those who are unable to complete the route or have to leave early. During the evening we will be showing DVDs of the original Mobilgas economy runs from the 1950s kindly supplied by Bill Bonney, Hants and Berks Car Club or alternatives. For your interest, fuel consumption, in mpg and litres per 100km will be calculated for you by the results team. In addition your environmental performance in terms of grammes of CO 2 per km and total CO 2 emissions for the event will also be calculated. These results will be on display at the finish and our web site following the event. REMINDER Participants are responsible for the costs of filling their cars with fuel at the start and finish of the event.
