Welcoming Senator Chvala to the meeting, Regent Smith noted that opportunities would be sought to thank both the Governor and Speaker Jensen as well. 1 Minutes of the Board of Regent’s Meeting, September 7, 2001 The UW was treated well in the budget, Regent Smith remarked, because the Governor and legislators recognized that an investment in the UW’s program
