KRUGER NATIONAL PARK PACKAGES Two- to five-day packages are available. On these tours a Ulysses Tours tour guide accompanies the guests for the duration of the tour. Sightseeing and game drives are conducted with the tour guide in a Ulysses vehicle. Mpumalanga and Limpopo Provinces. This is Big Game Country, the setting for dozens of sanctuaries teeming with wildlife and birds. Among them, the Kruger National Park is world renowned, as are several of the luxurious private reserves on its western boundary. The Kruger Park was established in 1898 to protect wildlife and covers an area of 2 million hectares. Truly the flagship of the South African national parks, Kruger is home to an impressive number of species: 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds and 147 mammals. Apart from the irresistible magnet of this wildlife mecca, some spectacular scenery can be viewed in the mountainous area known as the Panorama Route, en route to the Kruger Park. Blyde River Canyon (Panorama Route) On the three-day package, both nights are spent in the Kruger National Park and on the four-day package, you spend one night on the scenic Panorama Route with its waterfalls, forests and Gold Rush towns and two nights in the Kruger National Park. On the five-day package you spend two nights on the Panorama Route and two nights in the Kruger National Park. Above: Kruger Park's Berg&Dal Camp; Below: Olifants Camp ITINERARY – 4 DAY TOUR: KRUGER PARK & PANORAMA ROUTE Day 1: Mpumalanga Province (DB) We collect you from your doorstep and depart for Mpumalanga Province formerly known as the Eastern Transvaal. On our way to the first stop, in the trout fishing village of Dullstroom, we travel through Witbank and Middelburg to Belfast where we leave the highway. After Lydenburg we go down the escarpment of the Drakensberg mountain range. We spend the afternoon in this scenic region with its waterfalls, lookout points and picturesque villages. We visit the historical mining town ofPilgrim's Rest, Bourke's Luck Potholes, the Three Rondavels and the Blyde River Canyon. We overnight in Graskop (Graskop Hotel) / White River / Hazyview (Umbhaba Lodge - see below) or Blydepoort. Day 2: Kruger National Park (DB&B) We leave after breakfast for the Kruger Park and spend the day in this world-renowned reserve. We check in at a rest camp (Skukuza / Lower Sabie / Satara or similar) in the late afternoon and have dinner in the camp's restaurant. Accommodation is in thatched-roof rondavels (chalets / bungalows), all with private en-suite bathroom facilities and air- conditioning. Day 3: Kruger National Park (DB&B) Another day to try and spot the elusive Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino). We dine and stay overnight in a rest camp. A night drive on an open vehicle with a National Park’s Board ranger is optional (but very exciting). Day 4: Kruger National Park (B) After breakfast we go on one more game drive before leaving the park and then head for the Escarpment again aroundnoon. Shopping and sightseeing are on the menu before heading back to Pretoria / Johannesburg. We will be back at around 18:00. There is a surcharge of 10% applicable on all transport requirements between the hours of 23:00 – 06:00 for groups of 1 – 4 people. 4. Rush Hour is between 07:00 – 09:00 & 16:00 – 18:00, Mondays to Fridays only. 5. We do not charge rush hour rates for transfers to or from the airport. 6. Owing to the unpredictable nature of the petrol and diesel prices in South Africa, these rates are provisional and we reserve the right to change them without prior or written notice. 7. Should a transfer be confirmed for a future date with a 50% deposit, we will honour the rate as quoted when booked. 8. Overnight package prices are quoted as “per person sharing” and are valid until 31 December 2013 (excluding certain peak periods at Sun City & Cape Town Hotels). 9. Prices (quoted in ZAR) are subject to alteration without prior notice. 10. Guides are English / Afrikaans speaking. Other languages are available on request at a surcharge. 11. Please note that a cancellation fee of 100% of the total price applies for long-distance transfers cancelled less than 12 hours and to short distance transfers cancelled less than 3 hours in advance. 12. A trailer is available for excess luggage at a surcharge. 13. We reserve the right to use a sedan car for transfers of one to three people. Should a minibus be required for a transfer for one to three people we reserve the right to charge the rate used for four to seven people. 14. All bookings (and specified vehicles) are subject to availability at time of reservation. 15. Quoted prices include agent’s commission (VAT included). No commission is paid in the case of the single supplement. Commission must be claimed within 3 months. 16.
