In the women’s 10,000 meters, 23-24 Rod McCravy Memorial 3 wins fellow senior Megan Siebert cut more than two minutes off her best time, finishing 22nd in 24 Lobo Collegiate Invitational 9 personal records section one in 33:37.88, a time that ranks No. 3 in school history and 14th on the 2015 NCAA 30-31 Howie Ryan Invitational 3 wins performance list. Sandie Raines impressed for the women’s squad in section one of the 5,000 UW Invitational 3 wins meters. Ariel Jones (100mh, 400mh, 4x400m relay) and 13-14 NCAA Championships Men 6th, Women 6th Caitland Smith (100m, 200m, 4x400m relay) are penciled in for three events apiece, while Chyna Ries (100m, long jump) and Shania Collins (4x100m relay, 4x400m relay) are scheduled for a pair OUTDOOR each. March 20-21 UTSA Invitational Men 4th, Women 3rd 25-28 Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays 6 wins For the UT men, Senoj-Jay Givans is expected to make his season debut in the 100 meters Sat- urday and Johannes Hock will compete in three individual events (pole vault, shot put, 110mh) April since there will be no multi-events for either the men or women. The 2 Longhorn Invitational Myers Stadium women are No. 4 and the men stand at No. 6. 15-17 Big 12 Championships Ames, Iowa • Texas is among six schools that have their men and women ranked in the top 10. 28-30 NCAA West Preliminary Rounds Myers Stadium • The Big 12 Conference is well represented in the top 25 with five women’s teams and four June men’s teams ranked this week. All nine men’s and women’s teams are among the top 15 with 10-13 NCAA Championships Eugene, Ore. the Longhorns leading the way among Big 12 squads in both. 24-28 USATF Championships TBD Standard Bearers MEET SCHEDULE • Texas currently holds seven collegiate records combined among the men and women. For her efforts the junior was named the Texas Relays Most Outstanding Performer and received 1:00 p.m. ______________________High Jump (w) her first Big 12 Athlete of the Week Award on March 30. ______________________ Shot Put (w) - East Ring • Ran anchor leg of the 4x100m relay to win with a time of 43.70 seconds ______________________Shot Put (m) - West Ring • Won 100m in wind-aided 10.94 seconds. That time would be fast enough to tie the school 2:30 p.m. ________________________ Discus (w) record but it cannot count toward records because it was wind-aided 3:30 p.m. _____________________ High Jump (m) • Ran opening leg of 4x400m relay, winning in 3:29.65 __________________ Triple Jump (w) - East Runway • Ran opening leg of 4x200m relay, finishing second in 1:32.53 __________________Triple Jump (m) - West Runway Freshmen Showing Talent 4:00 p.m. ________________________ Discus (m) • Freshmen sprinters Caitland Smith and Shania Collins finished second and third in the 200 meter invitational at the Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The NCAA champion won the men’s shot put for a third consecutive year with his toss of 21.11 meters (69-3.25). 3:20 p.m. ____________________ 110m Hudles (m) 3:35 p.m. _______________________ 400m (w/m) Dohmann Opens Season with Win 4:05 p.m. _______________________ 100m (w/m) • Defending Big 12 Conference champion Fabian Dohmann opened his outdoor season at the 4:25 p.m. _______________________ 800m (w/m) Texas Relays with a victory in the javelin, throwing 70.86 meters (232-6) on his fifth attempt. 4:50 p.m. __________________ 400m Hurdles (w/m) • Dohmann was standing in seventh heading into the final three throws.
