HYAL1 (h.HYAL1 , FUS2, NAT6, LUCA1, Hyal-1, LuCa-1, Hyaluronidase-1, Hyaluronoglucosaminidase-1, Lung carcinoma protein 1) Catalog number 144710 Supplier United States Biological Hyaluronidase-1, also known as HYAL1 or LUCA1, is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the HYAL1 gene. The gene is one of several related genes in a region of chromosome 3p21.3 associated with tumor suppression. This gene encodes a lysosomal hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidases intracellularly degrade hyaluronan, one of the major glycosaminoglycans of the extracellular matrix. Hyaluronan is thought to be involved in cell proliferation, migration and differentiation. This enzyme is active at an acidic pH and is the major hyaluronidase in plasma. Mutations in this gene are associated with mucopolysaccharidosis type IX, or hyaluronidase deficiency. Recommended Dilution Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Handling Store at -20˚C for one year. After reconstitution, store at 4˚C for one month. Can also be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20˚C for long term. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Immunogen A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the N-terminus of human HYAL1. Formulation Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg Thimerosal, 0.05mg NaN3. Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml. Purity Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. Specificity Recognizes human h.HYAL1.
