(1/4 Oz) active dry yeast 1 egg, beaten 1/2 cup warm water 1 tsp. cinnamon Valentine’s 3/4 cup sugar 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 cup butter, softened 1 1/4 tsp. salt Day! 1/2 cup warm milk 2 egg yolks GLAZE: 1 tsp. grated lemon peel 2 tsp. lemon juice 1 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar 3 1/4 to 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2-3 tsp. water Green, purple and yellow sugar In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add 1/2 cup sugar, butter, milk, egg yolks, salt, lemon peel, nutmeg and 2 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form Amour Gifts a soft dough (dough will be sticky).
