During the process of proofs correction of our paper describing the new species Piseinotecus soussi (Tamsouri et al., 2014) the authors overlooked that in the text a holotype was not designated, although it was in the original manuscript submission. Therefore, according with the provisions of the Article 16.4.1 of the ICZN the name of the new species is not available until a holotype is designated and published.
