Photograph by David Ransom. I have always been amazed by the fact that we have had terrapins (a fresh water turtle) in the Wear Pond for many years. They are not really noticed by residents. If you have not seen the two terrapins, the most likely place you will see them is huddled together at about water level on the back wall, more-so on a sunny day.
