NIGERIA SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE RURAL WATER AND ENVIROMENTAL SANITATION AGENCY Bid For: Construction of Boreholes Ref. No: OS/RUWESA/AfDB/W002/2012 Name of Project: RWSS Sub- Programme Date: 29th June, 2012 1. The Federal Government of Nigeria has received financing from the African Development Fund (ADF) towards the cost of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Sub-programme in Osun State and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of the loan to eligible payments under the contract for the procurement of works: i. e. Drilling and installation of 133 Hand-Pump and Motorized Boreholes. The Contract is no. OS/RUWESA/AfDB/W002/2012. 2. Bidding is opened to all eligible Bidders as defined in the ADB’s Rules and Procedures for the Procurement of Goods and Works, May 2008 Edition. 3. The contract is divided into 6 lots and the scope of the Works is: Lot 1 – Hand Pump Borehole (HPB) Description: Drilling of 25 Nos. HPB at Atakunmosa East and Atakunmosa West LGAs Lot 2 – Hand Pump Borehole Description: Drilling of 25 Nos. HPB at Atakunmosa West and Ede North LGAs Lot 3 – Hand Pump Borehole Description: Drilling of 25 Nos. HPB at Atakunmosa West, Egbedore, Ife East Area Office and Ife North LGAs Lot 4 – Hand Pump Borehole Description: Drilling of 25 Nos. HPB at Ife North, Ifelodun, Ila and Irewole LGAs Lot 5 Hand Pump Borehole Description: Drilling of 25 Nos. HPB at Irewole, Iwo, Orolu and Osogbo LGAs. Lot 6 Motorized Borehole Description: Drilling of 8 Nos. Motorized Borehole at Ifelodun and Irewole LGAs. 4. The Bid Security should in the amount of NGN800,000 or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency for each of lots 1 – 5, and NGN650,000 or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency for lot 6 Note: Interested Bidder may bid for more than one lot (maximum of three lots). Bidders submitting bids for more than one lot must present separate Bid Security for each lot. Combined bid security for 2 or more lots shall not be allowed. 5. The Project Implementation Unit, Osun State Rural Water and Environmental Sanitation Agency (RUWESA) now invites sealed bids from prospective eligible bidders for the above-mentioned packages. 6. Bidding will be conducted using International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the African Development Bank’s Rules and Procedures for the Procurement of Goods and Works, May 2008 Edition. 7. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Programme Manager, Osun State Rural Water and Environmental Sanitation Agency (RUWESA), [email protected] and inspect the Bidding Documents at the Address given below. 8. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English Language which contains detailed specifications of the works may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of NGN20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Naira) or USD125.00 for each lot. The fee for additional lot is NGN10,000.00 or US$63.00. 9. Bids must be delivered to the Osun State Tenders Board, Governor’s Office by 10th August, 2012 at 12:00 noon and must be accompanied by the required bid security. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will not be allowed. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who choose to attend in person at the Osun State Tenders Board, Governor’s Office on 10th August, 2012 at 1:00pm. 10.
