The policies contained in the Plan were saved for three years from 13 July 2006 for the purposes of the Act. In July 2009, a Direction from the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government (see overleaf) extended certain saved policies. Those policies not listed in the Direction expired on 12 July 2009.
