<p>Please join me in congratulating Journal of Management's new Editor-Elect, Professor Talya N. Bauer of Portland State University. Dr. Bauer is the Cameron Professor of Management at the School of Business at Portland State University. She has extensive editorial experience, having served on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Personnel Psychology. In addition, she regularly reviews for the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Occupational and Health Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and the International Journal of Selection and Assessment. </p><p>Dr. Bauer also has an exceptional record of service to our field. She has served the Academy of Management by reviewing conference papers for the national and regional meetings, chairing conference sessions, and serving on the Executive Committee for the HR Division. She was also Program Chair for the 2001 Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology Conference, SIOP Membership Chair, and is currently on the SIOP Executive Committee serving a three-year elected term as Member at Large. Dr. Bauer is a Western Academy of Management Ascendant Scholar and a Fellow of both SIOP and the American Psychological Society.</p><p>Dr. Bauer is an experienced international scholar, having gathered data in locations around the world including Canada, China, Hong Kong, Mexico, Turkey, and the United States of America. She also helped organize ARCOS (Applicant Reactions Cross-cultural Organizational Studies) which is a cooperative research venture across dozens of research partners in dozens of countries. Dr. Bauer’s work with private organizations, Fortune 500 companies, and not-for-profit organizations includes partners such as American Honda, the City of Louisville, the City of New Orleans, Express Personnel, Hewlett Packard, Intel, Itogumi Corportion, Kenexa Corporation, the Los Angeles Unified School District, Microsoft, NASA, the New York Unified Court System, Southern California Gas and Electric, Subaru-Isuzu International, and the United States Forest Service.</p><p>All of us at JOM are delighted that she will be at the helm!
