Sidloskas Grand Knight</p><p>Re: Knights of Columbus Memorial Scholarship </p><p>I am pleased to announce the re-establishment of our scholarship fund, the Robert C. Lindquist Memorial Scholarship, that provides a $500 scholarship to a student of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church who is a high school senior and will graduate in May 2011. One scholarship will be awarded annually. It should be noted that the award is not based solely on the student’s grades. Other criteria are considered such as extracurricular activities and community involvement. This is a competitive scholarship, and the applicants must meet the following guidelines:</p><p>1. Submit all pertinent information to the scholarship committee by completing the application form no later than April 25th of each year, including two letters of reference. 2. Attend Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and attend Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School or an accredited institution of higher learning such as a high school in Calhoun County. 3. Write an essay of between 300 - 500 words. The topic will change each year. The 2011 topic is included in this package.</p><p>The selection of the winning candidate will be made by the Scholarship Committee by May 15, 2011, with all applicants being notified of its decision shortly thereafter. </p><p>George R.
