<p> CLASSIFIED STAFF ADVISORY COUNCIL Minutes Tuesday, August 18, 2015 9:10 am E103 Student Union </p><p>Attending: Carol Alexander, Patrick Ammon, Dawn Banker, Sue Bevan, Sarah Carpenter, Lori Cope, Cathy Dalton, Tom Fortener, Ryan Fullenkamp, Julie Greenup, Jamie Henne, Mina Lundy, , Kym Sellers, Suzanne Semones, Beth Stanze-Tate, Elizabeth Styers, Tony Shreck Absent: Jodi Blacklidge, Ife Shafeek, Cynthia Riley</p><p>I. Minutes from July 21st meeting not yet ready.</p><p>II. Old Business 1. Presidential Announcement: The president’s announcement re: the situation with the Provost and other WSU employees was discussed. A new compliance department will be formed. President will announce his retirement in May. 2. SDD: Staff Development day went well, had huge crowds. 3. Staff Council: Discussion about roundabout, discount list for employees being compiled, tuition benefit: currently and 8 credit hours and will probably remain that way. The future of the moat is under discussion. Alumni Association in favor of keeping, other groups see no benefit. Office temperatures discussed in listserve are probably not going to see a change. 4. Chair-Elect: Tom Fortener agreed to serve. Motion by Jamie Henne, second by Suzanne Semones, Tom unanimously elected chair-elect. 5. Bylaws-Articles 3 through 5 discussed, decision to have co-chairs (senior and junior) chosen as best option. Dawn will continue bylaw discussion through emails and hope to have entirety ready for vote at next meeting.</p><p>III. New Business 1. Method to reduce number of council members needs to be discussed. How to make fair.</p><p>IV.
