<p>Dear SAPA-NE members and friends:</p><p>SAPA-NE is proud to present you its 10th Scientific Symposium at Tang Center MIT Sloan School of Management on Nov. 10th (Sat. 1:00PM-6:00PM). The theme of the symposium is “Seeding Innovation for Break-through Therapies”. </p><p>In the symposium, there will be six distinguished speakers from Wyeth, Biogen-Idec, Novartis, Amgen, Genzyme and Harvard. The presentation topics of the symposium range from drug discovery in Neuro- regeneration and metabolic diseases to clinical development of new cancer therapies, and to novel strategic partnering in cardiovascular drug discovery. Especially, Wyeth AVP Dr. Wozney, a finalist of 2007 Prix Galien Award USA, will talk about how he and his team discovered and developed an innovative bone-inductive therapeutic INFUSETM and its delivery system InductOsTM. The product has been launched and marketed worldwide since 2005, and found widespread use in orthopaedics. Dr. Wozney was named R&D Directions “Top 20 scientists” along with Nobel laureates Andrew Fire and Craig Mello.</p><p>Besides providing scientific learning in Drug discovery, the symposium will also be an excellent networking opportunity with Pharma/Biotech managements and with scientists.
