My goal is to become a lobbyist for the American Cancer Society.</p><p>Education</p><p>Bachelor of Arts, Michigan State University (MSU), East Lansing December, 2005</p><p>Major: Public Policy Studies An interdisciplinary major in social science emphasizing political science.</p><p>Additional Major: Political Science</p><p>Employment History</p><p>Police Cadet July, 2003-Present MSU Department of Police and Public Safety, East Lansing</p><p>Perform tasks such as monitor alarms on campus and dispatch proper authorities, answer phone calls, monitor the police radio, respond to officer’s needs, and deal with walk-ins. Professional skill includes multi-tasking. Working in a fast-pace environment obligates me to prioritize my responsibilities in a timely fashion. </p><p>Student Cook August, 2002-May, 2003 MSU Food Service, East Lansing</p><p>Duties included cook and serve food, wash dishes, vacuum and mop floors, and wipe down tables. A professional skill developed was time management. We needed to prepare the food in a timely manner in order to better serve the students. </p><p>Driver’s Education Secretary June, 2001-August, 2002 Fremont Public Schools, Fremont, MI </p><p>Responsibilities included creating driving schedules, money transactions, grading papers/tests, and writing reports. Specialized skills included organization by having to create and recreate schedules according to the instructor’s agenda.</p><p>Activities</p><p>Founder and Coordinator of the Annual Cancer Benefit held in Fremont, MI. Member of College Republicans, MSU Chapter. Member of the MSU Student Cancer Support Network. Member of the Cancer Control Advocacy Team with the American Cancer Society. Recipient of the VanderWier Scholarship, 2002.
