<p> THE BAPTIST FOUNDATION OF ALABAMA</p><p>2016 Report to the Associations</p><p>The Baptist Foundation of Alabama (Foundation) is pleased to present this report to the associations of the Alabama Baptist State Convention. Since 1940 your foundation has faithfully served Alabama Baptists. We have observed God’s hand at work in the lives of literally hundreds of faithful Alabama Baptists as they have chosen to use some of their earthly resources to make a Kingdom difference through Christ honoring estate planning. These Alabama Baptists will continue to impact the world for Christ even after they are gone.</p><p>We continue to be passionate about the overlooked concept of viewing estate planning through the lens of Biblical stewardship. The Foundation has assisted a number of churches launch Christ-honoring estate legacy ministries. Through these ministries, church members that indicate a desire to review their estate plan with a view toward Biblical stewardship are served by professionals that help them work through the process and make fully informed decisions about how to most effectively provide a financial legacy for their family and faith. </p><p>Our number one priority at The Baptist Foundation of Alabama is to serve Alabama Baptists to the very best of our abilities. One method for serving is through conducting “legacy conversation” seminars in churches. Our deep desire is to serve you and your church in this largely overlooked area of faith based estate planning. When correctly understood, this service is a valuable help to believers as they make wise plans for both their family and their faith. Almost five hundred Alabama Baptist couples have now been served through the Foundation’s estate planning ministry during the last four years.</p><p>To help the church understand the value of this service, we are offering free estate planning to all pastors and ordained staff.
