<p> Creating SwitchIt maker 2 programs.</p><p>Open SwitchIt maker 2 either from the desktop or the start menu and choose “make a new activity”</p><p>New Activity: </p><p>• First, the editor will ask you to name your new activity and to decide where you would like to store it. </p><p>Layout styles: • Next, choose from four layout styles. Simply click on the one you prefer; you can have just a picture, just writing, or pages with both a picture and writing. Then click OK Adding images: • Add a picture or video. SwitchIt! Maker 2 will load pictures and photos from the My Pictures folder. If you want to use a photo you have stored somewhere else click on the drop down bar and locate the drive you need, you can now click on folders and find your picture. </p><p>You can also add pictures from the internet by clicking the Internet button on the side. This will open up internet explorer. Go to the page/picture you want and do an opposite side mouse button click, select copy </p><p>Now click on the “Maker” button down on the blue windows taskbar at the bottom of the computer screen</p><p>When SwitchIt re opens click paste Click OK</p><p>Adding text : If you have chosen a page layout that includes text it will ask if you want to add some writing now. Click yes and you can add text to the page by simply typing it in, or use the on-screen keyboard. Use the buttons on the left hand of the screen to make the text larger or smaller. When you are done, click OK</p><p>Adding sound: If you wish you can add some music, a sound effect or record a voiceover for your activity! This can be really motivating for students who need practice vocalising. You can record with a microphone or load a song from your computer. When you have finished click OK.</p><p>Special effects: You can add a special effect that will play when you press to move on to the next page. Click on the one you want then click OK</p><p>You have just finished creating your first page! Well Done!! SwitchIt will automatically save your work as you go, storing it in the group you chose when you first started. Click OK and choose to add another page to your activity, play the activity or go back to teacher options.</p>
