<p>The Catholic Diocese of Westminster is home to the Archbishop of Westminster, Westminster Cathedral, over 200 parishes and over 215 schools in seventeen Local Authorities in London north of the river, Hertfordshire and Surrey and is a registered charity of significant proportions.</p><p>We are currently seeking to appoint an Accounts Assistant in Payables Finance to provide accounting duties and administrative support to the finance department, based at Vaughan House, 46 Francis Street, London SW1P 1QN.</p><p>In this role you will: </p><p>• Be responsible for the Purchase ledger function of the Diocese • Be responsible for ensuring that both Purchase Order and Non-Purchase Order invoices flow through the finance system • Build strong working relationships with the Heads of Departments and Suppliers • Be the primary contact for supplier payments and invoice queries • Assist the Management Accountant with the provision of accruals and prepayments • Report on the Creditors ledger providing reports to senior management prior to Payment runs • Maintain Provider Ledger and ensure prompt and accurate payments are made to consultants • Check HMRC requirements are correctly implemented in respect of VAT • Conduct monthly supplier statements reconciliations • Deal with external auditors • Assist the efficiency of the department by covering for other posts as required and performing other duties and projects appropriate to the role and grade</p><p>We are looking for someone who is a good communicator and team player and someone who is committed to high quality delivery and professionalism at all times. </p><p>Hours of work: 35 hours per week </p><p>Salary: £23 - £26,000 p.a. depending on qualifications and experience </p><p>Closing date: 20th June 2017</p><p>To view the full job description and to apply for this vacancy please visit http://rcdow.org.uk/diocese/jobs/</p>
