<p>BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES OF SOUTH GEORGIA JOB ANNOUNCEMENT</p><p>Posting Date: May 16, 2017 Application Deadline Date: Until Filled</p><p>Job Title: Part Time Human Services Tech Position No: 205741 </p><p>Salary: Based on education & experience Location of Position: Turner Service Center Ashburn, GA </p><p>Description of Duties: Under general supervision, provides training and support services to persons with developmental disabilities in a program which includes employment and community supports. Must be able to work independently and maintain accurate current Medicaid waiver records, which includes composing narrative statements for billing purposes. Provide transportation for consumers in personal vehicle and/or Center vans to access community resources and other needed services. Maintains good communication with individuals and family. Initiates educational training for adults. Performs routine housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned in order to maintain safety regulations for CARF. Assist with coordinating transportation needs for consumers. Teamwork with other staff to provide the highest quality DD services to consumers is essential. </p><p>Minimum Qualifications: Completion of high school or GED and one year experience providing care for developmentally disabled persons or 6 months experience providing social, direct care, or work activities to groups of special needs individuals or completion of three college level courses in the area of special education, physical disabilities and psychology. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good record keeping skills. A valid driver’s license (Class III drivers license is preferred) and a good driving record. Dependable transportation to use for work daily (proof of vehicle insurance). CPR/First Aid certification (provided by employer). Ability to work flex schedule including early morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Internet navigational skills, fast and accurate typing skills, and other basic computer knowledge required. *Note: A motor vehicle report is required prior to employment.</p><p>Pre-employment drug testing and a criminal records background check are required. If appointed, applicant will be subjected to a Fingerprint Based Background Check of the Georgia and Federal Criminal History Record Databases.
