<p>TCCC Greens Meeting September 14, 2017 Pete Gilray X Jim Strzempka X Jim Azzarella Jr X Justin Miller X Dan Rettig X Jake Eckley X</p><p>MINUTES meeting 9/14/2017 in maintenance barn convened @ 0800 </p><p>1. These minutes will touch on 2017 work prior to Stockholders meeting next week…. >> The equipt. appropriated early in season worked well in providing needed stability for maintenance requirements. We will re-work all equipt. over winter and make report in Spring. >> The committee is still working on a Long Range Tee Plan and will hope to present later in year. >> Sand Trap work delayed due to overly wet summer, still on projects list >> The excessive summer dampness caused green problems with disease (anthracnose). Spraying was done every two weeks to stay on top but some greens suffered anyway. The chemicals to treat are very expensive ( $1500/ 2.5 gallons) we tried to do the best job possible. >> We lost 7 large trees in 2017 and the clean-up was substantial. We are currently looking at possible replacement of some. Trees on holes 9 ( blue tee) and 11 (gold & red) are causing problems with tee shots. We are looking into trimming or removal.</p><p>2. Comment at last BoD meeting questioned drainage ditch on hole #14. The ditch was created to alleviate excessive dampness in area and absorb pond over-flow ( similar to new ditch on hole #10). The fescue and moguls at back were left to identify hazard from all tees. The fescue is a natural element in hazard and requires little maintenance. </p><p>3. We are again asking all members to submit their questions, ideas and recommendations in a written form for Greens Committee and BoD’s to address. Forms are in Pro-Shop and when received will be discussed at next Greens Committee meeting. To make any changes to course we need to access financial & labor requirements. Not all recommendations are accepted by majority of membership.</p><p>4 Our greens are scheduled to be punched on Monday, Oct. 2nd weather permitting. The larger tynes ( 3/8” OD) will be used so top dressing will also take place. The larger tynes accommodate aeration, fertilization and soil composition ( sand). We hope you all understand the need to do this work and play around the inconvenience.</p><p>5 We once again are asking ALL members to make a conscious attempt to maintain our golf course. Only so much can be accomplished thru maintenance. When leaving cart paths PLEASE try to use various exits as continued use of one path leads to the loss of grass and very difficult repair. Divot marks on green are also best repaired at initial event. The Committee thanks all who participate in these recommendations…</p><p>6. Our Fall projects hopefully will be implemented based on weather and labor. Those projects are; Tee repairs and future installs Sand Traps (holes 5 & 16) Tree install and removals Cart path repairs</p><p>7. Upon completion of remaining tournaments and outings the maintenance staff will begin to work on our winterization task list.
